Dang, I wasn't too sure about this years Pistons without Ben Wallace, even after we picked up Chris Webber.
They played some terrible games this year in the regular season, although they also played some great ones (winning in Dallas and Pheonix). Anyway, I know they're still a great team, but I expected them to struggle a bit in the playoffs.
And last night they did in Chicago, falling behind by 19 at one time in the third quarter. But they started chipping away, eventually coming within 1 point after Sheed nailed a three pointer at the end of the third quarter.
And they actually held on to win this time!
(If you watched in the regular season, many times they Pistons would fall behind by 10-15 points, then come back to tie or take the lead, but would run out of gas and couldn't hang on.)
Sure, you could say the Eastern Conference suck, but Pistons are 7-0 in the Playoffs!!!
Detroit could be celebrating three pro sports championships this year - Red Wings win the Stanley Cup, Pistons win the NBA Championship, and Tigers win the World Series!
