yeah, they are all decepticons, I guess, since Optimus Prime destroyed some of them when he was attacking the Fallen and Megatron on top of said pyramid. Kinda like in the cartoons, those jets. You know some of the henchmen of the Decepticons? Forgot their names. Though if I remember correctly, there were only two of them in the cartoons.

well the autobots were kinda out numbered and i dont think they want to stop and waste their time on silly little motocycle

actually Grindor is a Sea Stallion CH-53 helicopter, while Blackout was a CH-53 Pave Low, similar but different, very obvious if you see the front, the Sea Stallion lacks, a sensor array in the front.

Was Mikaela's dog the same dog that Sam's friend was bathing in the first one?

actually Grindor was a CH-53E Super Stallion. you can tell by the lack of a hump after the main rotor pylon , and the canted tail rotor pylon and in the overhead view you can see the third engine exhaust stack. I know these items cause I was a Ch-53E guy form 1998-2003

He's jet mode is just the tank with wings, you see this very briefly on several occasions, 1) when he is heading for the nemesis, 2) when he transforms into his tank after the factory scene and again when he intercepts prime from the tree's. (this is why peronally i find the voyager class megs to be more movie accurate)

My thought as to why there were 6 after megs was rebuilt and the one killed is that perhaps the doctor did not go back into ravage, going down he was in ravages chest, but he may have surfaced on his own. making up the 6th blip.

As for Grindor and Blackout. In this movie Grindor looks alot bigger then Blackout did. Prime was basically climbing on him. I thought Megs and Prime where bigger then Blackout in the first movie. Oh and to answer the 6th bot it was obviously Bonecrusher lol, you atleast see him later in the movie in alt form. (Kinda joking but it could be true)

Blackout wasn't shown with any other bots in the first movie so it's hard to tell how big he was. I was surprised how big Blackout/Grindor was in RotF.

Blackout's bio mentions that he would be found standing behind Megatron and gleaming over him. Blackout was the tallest bot in TF1.

Sweet Primus, I love the debate going on about this one! Try this one on for size. Given the fact that most human vessels at the depth would go "POP" the only thing to really scan for would be Cybertronian energy signatures. Scalpel was riding INSIDE Ravage making for an overlapping signature, but if Scalpel came back up alongside the others his would show up as the 6th energy signature. I didn't see Ravage "Swallow" him and even if he rode up holding Ravage's tail he would be set back from the main signature and probably still show up as a near-overlapping but seperate blip.
This would also support the theory that they (the Navy) are not only on guard for something going DOWN but also scanning Cybertronian energy signatures in case something wasn't well and truly dead and was coming back UP.
Plothole filled unless somebody thinks they have a more plausible answer.

I'm more inclined to think it was Blackout, alt-modes be damned. They'd likely have revived him just before heading back up, seeing as he was in reasonably good condition. (And unlike Brawl, actually capable of flight, which he'd need seeing as their in the middle of the ocean) And it even clears up the "Five/six bogeys" problem. Plus, it's easier to say they revived him as well, rather than "It's someone who looks entirely identical, except for a few minor changes in his alt-mode that you'd only realize if you know it's there."

If the last thing you felt before going offline was being shot in the crotch, from below, with a grenade launcher, would you want to be resurrected?? My first conscious act would be to murder the SOB that brought me back from the dead and the second would be to take my own life.

I agree with Shadowman, we know they brought Megatron back and Blackout was down there as well. So it's not too much of leap that they brought him back too.

As a Decepticon, I figured his first act would be to kill the SOB who shot him in the crotch. The second would be to kill him more.

We saw 2 of the 3 bikes get shot and Bay said he had her killed off (but Bay says a lot of sh** about stuff and most of it is to throw us off) but did we see them actually die? Do we know for certain that those shots were fatal ones? I don't know either way, I'm just throwing it out there.
