The colors look identical to me, the only difference I can see between the two is the new head deco that I can't figure out the reference to. It's definitely not cartoon accurate (otherwise they'd have swapped the names).

Hmm... Maybe the 3-pack swapped the dark blue for purple? Hard to say.
...I just noticed that the 3-pack Two-Tone Blue Guy on display has missassembled legs

This worked out reasonably well for me. I don't already have the dino cassettes, nor do I have Rumble and Frenzy, and this way I can get all of them without having duplicates of Ravage and Laserbeak

As I mentioned in the other thread, it looks like they were supposed to paint his optics red, and someone confused the dot on his forehead for his optics.

The whole thing makes no sense, because if this was supposed to be the toon version, they would have called him Rumble with the Walmart one being Frenzy.

Did they lose the molds for Overkill and Slugfest? Because those two would have gone really well with these reissues.

Still, it's nice to see these guys finally widely available, and the price seems fairly reasonable as far as reissues go, though I do feel a little sorry for those who shelled out for one or both of the Retro Pop Highway sets and are feeling burned right now (though I do think the clear Decepticon versions of the cassettes are pretty cool, and I'd love it if they got their own separate rerelease).

Dinocassettes proving that "lost molds" doesn't have to be what stops a reissue since these are new toolings of the old designs.

Not saying to crack open your wishful thinking catalog since cassettes are going to be much cheaper to make molds for than other toys given their small size and parts count, just saying that if they think the money's there to justify it they can reissue whatever they want.

Well, in Dile and Zaur's case it helped that they actually found the original templates used to make the molds. That saved a lot of effort.

Payments Processing for Gurafi Noizu Frenzy Three Pack Revealed at SDCC2019 Should Be Shipping Soon

Postby Stargrave » Tue Sep 17, 2019 11:18 pm

Greetings and happy Tuesday Seibertronians! Thanks to a heads up from our own staff we have learned that the Hasbro Pulse orders for the the Gurafi and Noizu three pack with Frenzy have been processed which means Frenzy and these dutiful double decker dinos should be shipping shortly. Hey, dinosaurs, typically associated with earth shaking, Frenzy with his piledrivers, I think I just got why they're three packed. Mystery solved! Well, personal pontifications aside keep your optics activated and check your Hasbro Pulse orders folks because your cassette three packs very well may be on their way soon!

This three pack was revealed back at the San Diego Comic Con this last summer where our staff was on hand to snap up a bevvy of pics. Here's a few samples from our galleries below. You can head to the full gallery by clicking HERE or by clicking on any of the images below. Enjoy!

So is this sold out forever, or might there be a restock in the last quarter? I'm not the only one who's been having to save up everything for a BIGGER online item, and had therefore not been paying as close attention as I should've.

The combined mode doesn't hold the weight well (the separate Dino modes look the best anyways) and the stickers are highly succeptable to damage but it's nice to have them.

I just got mine today..... am I the only one who's annoyed by the fact that the two cards are physically joined? And that even if you do separate them, Frenzy's Tech Specs are on the back of Gurafi and Noizu's pack and vice versa?

Kind of a big fail on Hasbro's part. I wanted to display them in package but not together.

In relation to what most people are saying about trying to display the joined cards; does anyone know of a clamshell/ acrylic case that would be a good fit for this guy? I understand a classic clamshell would not work but possibly one designed for another line or a decent price on an acrylic , non graded, display case with correct dimensions.
Thank is advance for any and all input.

I don't mind the joined cards. I just tore them open and freed my newest cassettes from their cardboard prison, so it's all good.

Time to put my old KOs in a box and proudly display the real deal. Really glad I got these. I don't get why they've included Frenzy. Whatever. It could be better, but I guess this means I don't need to buy the redundant Dinocassettes (as I have the Retro garage sets).

For the US, Hasbro Pulse seem to be the exclusive vendor.

So what other currently rare and barely attainable foreign exclusives or otherwise rare figures would you all want to see after the dinocassettes? Personally I'm hoping the six Japan-exclusive Headmaster heads show up through Pulse at some point.

Hasbro Pulse Cancelling Some Dino Cassette Reissues

Postby D-Maximal_Primal » Mon Sep 30, 2019 7:42 pm

Motto: "There are no impossibilities in the multiverse, just small minds unable to comprehend the possibilities"
Weapon: Armor Axe
We have some sad news to report to you today regarding the highly anticipated Dinocassette Reissues.

We have gotten confirmation from 5 different sources that Hasbro Pulse is cancelling some of the pre-orders placed for the Dinocassettes. From what the emails from Pulse have been saying, it appears as though Pulse over-sold the Dinocassette pre-orders, meaning that those who placed later pre-orders are at risk of not having their orders fulfilled due to lack of stock.

The emails started going out a couple of hours ago, so if your dinocassette order is to be cancelled, you will probably be hearing from Hasbro Pulse shortly. You will not be charged for the order since there is no stock, though it does seem as though Pulse is offering a $10 off your next order coupon for the trouble of cancelling the pre-order. It is some type of consolation, but certainly disappointing that some people will not be getting their dinocassettes.

I did have two of the Seacons pre-ordered from Pulse but cancelled those before I got another email like this one. The pricing wasn’t too different than TFSource so I went with the latter.

In terms of engineering, yes. I've heard that some of the detail on them is more akin to the KO sets than the originals. I'm not saying that's true, but if it is I find it hilarious that even Hasbro themselves couldn't get an original set of dinocassettes.

Well since they never released them it falls to Hasbro reaching out to Takara if they have those mold casts or not.
