I'm actually glad we're getting a new Megatron, the Siege one was IIRC one of the weaker figures from that line. As far as stylings and altmodes go I'd like either a hybrid of G1 and Armada (but done better than the CW Leader please!) or alternatively a more G1 figure that turns into a helicopter gunship, twin-rotor or otherwise.

I'm really surprised they're tackling Megatron again so soon. Optimus got another figure so they could finally give the G1 toy a direct update. With Megatron, that can't be the case, so my guess is that they're either going to do something completely new and out there with him (which would be very cool) or possibly do an update of one of his other classic toys.

Honestly I'm getting tired of this 4 tread megatrons. It feels really lazy to me since each limb is a separate tread. At least go back and give us a double tread tank like G2 did.

Artillery piece Megatron would rock. I'd prefer him to have a vehicle mode as well, but triple changing Megs is cool too so I'd be down for that.

Incidentally a 3P is making a Megatron that turns into the Gustav railway gun, but that's going to be both expensive and absolutely colossal (as one might expect from one of the largest mobile guns in history).

Another option I think would be cool would be having him turn into a WW2 style "tank destroyer" like a Jagdpanther or the like. They often mounted some formidable weapons, and due to their casemate design (the gun was built directly into the hull due to the size) you wouldn't need to engineer a turret.

Megatron is certainly puzzling for Earthrise. I agree the Tank alt mide has been played out, and to have Megatron be a "space gun" doesn't follow the premise of Earthrise.

Wow, the Blitzwing is actually happening! I'm looking forward to it.

Part of me is not really looking forward to another Megs, but I also didn't love his Siege design, so I welcome another take. I hope it takes cues from Cybertron.

If we could actually get this, I would turn my wallet inside out.

On the subject of an Earthrise Megs, it would be great to get a riff on the Animated version in G1 colors. Otherwise, I'm not buying it.

I would like it if it was an update on Master Megatron from Galaxy Force, to go with Siege leader Prime.

I feel like for them to go the tank route on Megatron again after Siege it would have to be something larger and meaner looking. Maybe along the lines of Armada.
An artillery placement would be even better and a nice change, if we want to get real crazy he could even have the new connector attachments and you could join him to the coal car on Astrotrain

I really hope we see a jet or helicopter Megatron. The movies, animated, and Prime showed just how good those alt modes could work

For Megatron, I'm thinking the two most likely options are either a Cybertron Megatron to go with Siege Galaxy Upgrade Optimus, or a G2 Megatron using his green and purple deco (and the vehicle mode is an actual Earth tank this time, with the front end ending up as the chest and the cannon on the shoulder), as that's the only G2 Megatron deco that hasn't gotten a figure in the past couple years.

I would hope that the new Megatron compliments Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime, so I don't have to get it LOL. I'm trying to focus on G1 cartoon characters only.

I don't know how likely a G2 Megs is, but that's the one I would like to see. I've been collecting figures based on the Marvel Comics lead villains, and that character / design is my biggest gap. The Classics G2-esque mold's transformation and robot mode are structurally very different from the original. It might be too close to the Generations Selects release to come out now, but on the other hand, it definitely has a real Earth mode.

Can we go back to the Howitzer concept for Megatron? What if we think of it along the lines of Astrotrain's Tender, where there are two armatures off to the side that can connect to the Base Modes? i would LOVE that concept. And maybe if they are the legs they could ve designed to totally not snap together under the Turret and be held by hand

Actually, its a ahame Megs is not a Leader, the Leader Pricepoint could give us a Voyager Megatron with his accesories that turn into a manned turret for him.

Are you talking about Siege or Earthrise Megatron? Because we don't know the size class for Earthrise. Sorry if I'm missing something.

I'm half hoping it's a tank so we get a voyager green version so I can have a voyager version of all 3 G2 Megs.

but he really needs a jet. But I also love the idea of a Cybertron Megatron or animated one. Please Hasbro!
