That's not how I meant it. I mean that they are religious figures and thus the title they each hold bears a sacred connotation. Whereas the non-13 Primes are military officials and so the title that they hold bears a more secular connotation.sto_vo_kor_2000 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:How so?sto_vo_kor_2000 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I think an easier way to see it would be that the Prime rank held by the Thirteen is a religious one, while the Prime rank held by typical leaders is a secular one.sto_vo_kor_2000 wrote:they like to re-defined words/terms

I dont see how they can be seen as "religious figures".There are no religions based on any of the 13, as far as I know.
And they may have been spoken of in their "bible", but not every character in the "our" bible qualifies as a religious figure.

They are a part of the whole Primus/Unicron mythology, which itself is considered a Transformers religion.sto_vo_kor_2000 wrote:I dont see how they can be seen as "religious figures".There are no religions based on any of the 13, as far as I know.

Also true. But the Apostles were, and the Thirteen are kinda like Primus' version of them.sto_vo_kor_2000 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:They are a part of the whole Primus/Unicron mythology, which itself is considered a Transformers religion.sto_vo_kor_2000 wrote:I dont see how they can be seen as "religious figures".There are no religions based on any of the 13, as far as I know.

Well, the Thirteen are definitely part of the legend and are seen as figures of an era long forgotten. Some (like Jazz) even regard them as being mere myth instead of real bots.sto_vo_kor_2000 wrote:I dont see them as that. But that might be bexause so far they havent really presented then as such.
Though, getting back to something you said before, what defines a "religious character" to you?

I'm not sure if its safe or smart to answer that type of question a few days before x-mas.

Voltron was cancelled ages ago, as was Thundercats, and this is the first I've heard of a new He-Man movie.

Back on topic here.
I Am and am not a G1 Hater.
I Liked season one for what it was. It was simply put, an old cartoon.
Season two, however, was just great! I mean WOW! There was so much to take from it! So much was built on it, you felt like it would never end. Then the movie came out.
Don't get me wrong. I loved that film. It introduced us to Unicron and Ultra Magnus. It was something else. When Optimus Died, I was so sad, and When Megatron came back, I thought "well that's not fair at all! Were's optimus primes return?" At the end of the movie, I thought to myself, I know for a fact that he comes back in Season 3.
Great Primus, SEASON 3.
It builds off the space story from the movie and completely discredits everything that happened in season 2! Most of the best autobots were dead and were never to return! The animation and errors are terrable! I Say ARE because, well... It's so bad, that I havn't finished it yet...
I'll push through it, that way I can be one of those guys that can say "Yeah, I watched G1, what of it?"
But I gotta say, season two is were it should have stayed.

Check out my Art Thread! It actually gets updated from time to time!
