So these writers don't deserve to be paid for their time and effort because they churn out ****?

Are you kidding? Why should anybody get paid for churning out ****? Would you like to buy a car that falls apart in 2 months because the well paid workers churned out ****? Of course your warranty wouldn't cover it because under your pretense they should be paid for churning out **** anyway. If you tried churning out **** where I work at, they won't just not pay you, they'll show you the door. Your logic makes no sense to me. :???:

But maybe if they do go on strike they will hire scabs that will actually put some heart into the story and get a better movie. Just a thought.

Difference between tv/movie writers and a car?

The "****" churned out by tv/movie writers is open to interpretation by the individual. Meaning there's no clear definition of what's **** and what's not.

A car however with defects, is exactly that, churned out ****, so no, obviously I wouldn't be happy with that. Thanks for taking such a narrow minded approach to my post.
