25cm = 9.84 inches for us Americans. So, yeah MP sized. I'm really surprised to see DX9 coming out with a Galvatron since Unique Toys already has Mania King. It looks like they are using some of the same features as well, just upscaled and taking away some of the busy detail. Also, better crown. I'm looking forward to this guy. Now I just have to find my way into getting a Chigurh.

All good. I got to use the giant eyelash blink, so it was worth it.

And I am curious how these two companies are going to pull of the MP Galvy. I like Mania King, but it is far from a perfect figure.

I'm still contemplating getting ManiaKing, I just don't have much displayed in the CHUG range right now so I didn't get him. DX9 did make the Tyrant War in Pocket figure, so how well were they able to scale it up to MP size? I knew X-TB would HAVE to make a Galvatron (teasing with the minifigure for Eligos) and then you show the link to it. I was away from the boards for two days and Galvatron is errywhere!! I need to research and compare, I didn't have a choice with Apollyon (to compare directly against anything but my MP05) so now I feel I have to be extra critical... and buy both :lol:

I realized y'all bro-hugged it out afterwards, but let's not forget that X-TB announced their (inevitable) version of Galvatron roughly 24 hrs after the news from DX9. But coming into this conversation late, I also now that Tyrant (funny, since that's the name of X-TB's old CHUG Galvy that never saw fruition) is expected to be released in Oct. While I doubt they'll make that ambitious deadline, DX9 will likely still release their version of Galvy before X-TB.

I'm in a place where I need to cut back any additional pre-orders until early next year, and I guess it allows me the opportunity to sit back and see/hear more info about Tyrant. I hope he lives up to the amazing looking protos. But I'm really hoping that X-TB's Scourge and Cyclonus are suberb quality and usher in an equally incredible Abaddon. Never thought I'd be rooting for X-TB, what flavor Kool-Aid (oh yeah!) have I been drinking?

@ bro-hug (speaking of, where's the emoji for that?!). The fact that this DX9 version had more "news" (bigger thread, BBTS pre-order listing, etc) was what really surprised me. Yeah DX9 already made a lil Galvy, but X-TB has OG Galvatron (Apollyon) and his minions (Andras and Eligos) and with how well Apollyon actually did (QC issues aside, they sold out AND warranted a second production run) I figured they would've announced not long after Eligos considering he comes with a pilot Galvatron.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm sorta sad. I cancelled my Andras in favor of the Quakewave re-issue (much like you, I needed to cut back) so I'm hoping they'll all still be around when funds are available.

This really has been the year of Decepticons for me

Just re-read this, are UniqueToys and DX9 related? I thought Mania King was more CHUG voyager sized as opposed to Tyrant being MP leader sized(I say "MP leader" referencing MP10 as an MP leader, carbots "MP deluxe", jets/Soundwave "MP voyager"..at least that's my scale interpretation :lol:

). Can't wait to see him next to Carry. Seriously, the golden age is upon us! Or maybe it's been here..but still!! :michaelbay:

They either shared designers or that some of the designers branched away from UT to form DX9 once the MP-styled/sized characters started coming out.

The more I look at him the more I'm OK with his legs (I don't think I wasn't OK with them before but you all know what I mean :lol:

). The Unexpected Panda digibash is spot on. I need this and Abaddon. I really don't think I'll be able to decide on one over the other without having both!
