Looking at the DX9 Rodimus Prime robot arms. The arms sculpting seems long enough not stubby. Think the reason the Arms don't hang down by the knees. Is due to the attach elbow joint being too high up on the torso body that connects to the arms.

Doing another second glance at these pics. This DX9 ROdimus Prime has a extremly overly long torso. With a gap near the bottom of the torso making it longer. Then their is the waist plate belt piece that is longer than average. All of this makes the Long robot arms appear small as the hands don't touch the knees.

Most HasTak and 3rd party TF toys have shorter, Smaller torso's. With smaller, shorter waist plates pieces. All of this makes the arms hang down lower and almost hands almost touch the knees.

My reply above was a joke comment on that PE CW Combiners wars thread. Where the debate is the CW gestalts Arms are gorilla long. and the CW Gestalts legs are short and stubby.

At least DX9 Rodimus Prime isn't wearing a diaper like some said X-T Megatron was. Due to the over sized Waist Skirt piece on the robot mode. Another joke taken from that X-T Megatron thread.

Funny how TF fans post these types of comments on almost every newer HasTak or 3rd party TF toy.

I'm getting closer and closer to pre-ordering this guy. I'm a big fan of Hot Rod and Rodimus Prime so it's not a SUPER hard sell for me. As far as DX9 goes, I've watched a few reviews of Invisible and I'm pretty sold on the quality being there. I do have TRU MP Rodimus but I miss having a trailer for him. This would take the place of that possibly. And I do have Energon Galvatron if I don't have him with the other MPs (as was suggested earlier in the thread). The potential is there, I hope we get updates like we have with Apollyon.

This toy does come with a regular Rodimus Prime riffle gun. It also comes with a Targetmaster gun. The targetmaster can combine with the Riffle gun, to form a bigger combined gun.

Similar to how CW Powerglide can combine with CW Silverbolts gun to become a bigger gun.

Just think of the DX9 Rodimus Targetmaster as a extra bonus thing. That you can or not use.

To adress this question fairly. Looking at other TF toys on my display shelves.

DX9 Rodimus Prime, Has extremely long upper robot arms. With shorter forearms. with long hands. So the combined length of the arms for a toy this size are similar to other toys arms this size.

MP-01 and MP-10 has short stubby upper arms with much longer forearms. Most call this Misproportioned sculpted robot arms.

The HasTak MP seekers have short arms. As the Upper and lower arms appear to both be under sized.

MP-08 Grimlock has short stubby forearms with longer upper robot arms.

All of these HasTak TF toys all have stubby forearms. Energon Leader Megatron, Supreme Starscream, 30th Springer, 30th Sandstorm.

Titanium 6 Rodimus has short stubby upper arms with longer lower arms.

Car Robots JRX has extremely long forearms. With upper arms so small they look absent.

Point is, Every TF toy is different. If they all had similar sculpted proportioned robot modes. Think many would complain more. As some would call them all very generic similar looking.

Don't think this is a big deal. As other TF toys have this same issue or the reverse like MP optimus has.

I'm sure if I measured DX9 Rodimus's upper arms + lower arms with hands. They'd be the same lenght as other MP TF or CHUG Leader class toys robot arms with hands. Don't think DX9 Rodimus arms would measure in shorter in total combined length. As the DX9 Rodimus upper arms are extremely long.

I didn't realize that the Targetmaster forms a portion of the long rifle! That's pretty cool, and more useful than Firebolt is now for me with my TRU MP Rodimus (he's not on display LOL)

As far as Invisible goes, I have it, and it is OK.

If he was a CHUG bot done in that scale, he would be just fine and fit in well, but he misses the mark to be what I would consider Masterpiece quality.

That said, it is a nice figure, and as a fan of Mirage I'm happy to have him, but he could be done better.

If/when Takara comes out with that character I will rebuy him.

It looks good on the shelf, don't get me wrong.

It is more the little stuff like not having covers that flip down over where the hands rotate out, or the way the rear wheels/heels transform, or that slit in the upper shoulder/side panel that you can see in the teaser pics.

Nothing major, but stuff that keeps it from truly being a masterpiece.
I like it loads better than the other version that was teased because I feel it really hits the mark in capturing the G1 look. And it 100% fits in with the MP cars when they are standing there together and you aren't scrutinizing it.

If Rodimus is a character you really dig, and if you are not a huge fan of the Takara version we got, then Carry might be right for you.

I get what you're saying about Invisible. Lots of little things that may annoy me over time. I really want to like Carry. I dig Rodimus and wouldn't mind a Rodimus Prime to leave as is and have my TRU MP Rodimus stay in Hot Rod mode, if only he could be shorter...

It's always a bum rush based on what the 3rd Parties think is popular. Unfortunately.

The market's pretty saturated; I can't see this trend going on for much longer.
