Being an ex-con I should at least give you guys a little inside info on how we used to work tourneys.

1. Always have spotters, not just 1 but 2. One on all messengers and one on the boards posting the missions for those that cant use them. Using 2 or 3 open windows at a time to cut down on the post time.
2. Planning. planning. planning a mission will only go your way if you have the proper number of rammers to strafers and avoiders. Only use avoiders in a must have to situation, your gonna need all the shots you can pull since your going to be normally out numbered.
3. Spread the teams out even and dont overload 1 if it costs you 3 loses in a row.
4. I hate to say it but use what configuration your bot can win with without over ramping. ( there are still a few that really play on the up and up still)
5. In the end its a combined effort of all not just a few. We will need to remind the other players that havent come back that we still need them.
6. If you lose, blame the RNG. Any bot or con can win at anytime this game is quirky.

I hope that helps.

I knew you guys used the spotters to look for missions that popped up and then conveyed that to the rest using MSN and/or YIM. It is seen by how fast the missions fill up on the 'Cons side.

The 'Cons are great at organizing their side for the tournament. The communicate what each one of them has available and what will be available when. This gives them the advantage of putting the correct alt modes, and the best troops available in the missions. The 'Cons get in fast so the casual HMW player doesn't get in and throw a wrench into their plans.

We on the other hand, have been lacking in that communication area. We do not have an established communication network. Our ineffective communication lets in the casual participants who just throw their guys into missions that don't care or participate in the tournament.

There is a way to mess with them all be it may not work. Each bot team takes one con team, we used this the first 3 tourneys and it worked from a con point of view. We didnt stand a chance against UOP,Jadetiger and the other high level bots and getting the high cons at that time to help was nearly impossible. What we did was counter a team, say Burn had the guardians, I had 1 and so on. It worked to a degree but if your fighting with a level 5 on a level 8 its nearly impossible to win unless the RNG acts up. If you can counter the bulk of them the missions are yours. Then again youll have to get everyone on the same page and bring the others back to play.

Honestly EP I think we have to look back when we did beat them . Back when I was in the AWC we beat them twice , once by one mission and the second we blew them out of the water ( who could forget the lovely sig that whisper made dynamax :D ) We were more organized back thgen for sure, lots of msn convo's going , people saving there best bot for the mission's, those were great times.

I think we were able to do all this because we had mini games, bounty hunts , ect. I really think we have to look at what worked because I see lots of people in missions with me that I know nothing about and it would be great if we all came out of our shells and at least said hello, and if you want to say hi to me my msn is edwardb_@hotmail.com

Well for me all ive seen is that the Decepticons are better communications whise and yes we got our asses kicked bad in the tournament I know myself I do contact with a few Autobots and yes a few Decepticons and a Pred I think that if the Maxis would have been more Maxis we couldve maybe stood a better chance at winning the tourny

but lets stop giving them the communications advantage its really killing us and I want to win the next tournie add me to your MSN: Twistarhymes@yahoo.com and next time lets kick some Deceptichops!!

Am I the only one here who doesn't have MSN? :? :P Guess I better get on it, huh?

I have AIM, but I hardly use it anymore (far too busy with school), but I am always checking the boards, both HMWGD and Iacon. It's not hard to reach me, it just might be a tad inconvienent (sp?).

Stack a mission anyway you want we are all at the mercy of the RNG.
