I know that higher ranks of strength let you pile on more armor, as well as increasing the damage dealt with normal attacks AND ram. My question is this: how effective is it to boost up endurance, as far as survivability is concerned? Is a transformer better served by having high strength and armor, or is his durability in a fight improved more by the increased HP of high endurance? I.e. who can take more of a pounding, the robot with 10 strength and 10 tons of iron armor, or the robot with 10 endurance?

end is vs tactics.

str mitigates the stun effect that ram has.

i always recommend str as the first stat to pump, then get courage and speed to higher numbers, then worry about end and finally rank

also don't forget that str boosts ALL damage except for the strafe tactic.

once you have a 5 or higher str you end up with better average damage if you don't bother with weapons until you can afford end game weapons

Strength wins overall for most people. In addition to what you have listed above if your strength is higher than a ramming attackers strength then allows you to resist rams infamous stun effect as well. That can make all the difference in some missions.

One note on endurance though, as far as i am aware it soaks all forms of damage, both tactic and melee/weapon, (armour only soaks melee/weapon) but as it isn't a feeder for one of the 4 tactics it is usually reserved for the '5th' updraft after str/spd/courage/tacticX have been filled.

Note: endurance and repair.
Intelligence may be the feeder stat for repair, but the patients endurance also increases the amount repaired, so for a team of repairer bots it really helps when your team mates have a few ranks.
