The more I see of it, the more impressed I am with all the details, but the less I really want it. The deluxe class is good enough for me.

Alright. That did it.

This guy is a work of art and must be owned. Must be, has to be. Oh yes.

Wow they managed to not put ankles on another Leader class figure. This fails. Hard. It takes no extra parts to put in a ball joint and only 2 extra for a ratcheting joint so it pisses me off to no end when they charge us $40+ dollars and can't even make the figure posable.

This is the only leader figure I like, but for two reasons I will not be getting it: the white bits, and two, I don't want to blow my money on Brawl when there's even the slightest possibility of a leader class Starscream or Blackout. Even if those never get made, there will be a desert camo redeco of this, and the white bits may just get eliminated. Thus, everything works out.

And that Megatron is awesome. Too bad the actual toy looks like crap.

At least he has a moveable head in robot mode, and one that isn't just sticking out of his vehicle mode like another Leader class figure...

Count yourself lucky you're only paying (or not paying) 40$ for the big toys, Canadians are paying double that. And even at 80$, I think this figure is worth it!

I was actually comparing him to Leader Prime. Which is the standard they should use for Leader Class figures. So while you're paying $80 for him, you don't mind it being a lesser figure than Prime?

it is my assumption that when in transformation the wheel treads lock into place and a latch that holds the threads together in certain places comes apart, along with the wheel housings and gears, and allows them to look like the wheels just got cut right down the center, when in actuality they were seperated by their own devices..

Anyone who complains about this leader figure needs to recheck through the cybertron galleries of other figures of Brawl and realize that this, barring a Masterpiece rendition like I want, is as good as it gets!!!! :grin:

Damn... I sure hope they aren't there as props without which he has difficulty standing on his own! They look like they should fold up into his legs.

The detail on this guy's great. I love that minigun on his left arm! Plus his right gun is now movie realistic instead of the deluxe which has him with the whole freaking tank barrel.

I'm curious... when people say this doesn't compare to the Prime Leader, in what sense do they mean? I have the Prime figure, and comparing the detailing with this, I find it comparable.

Just another query:

Were any of you able to view ALL the photos on the original site? I was not, but I was reading some of the comments below and a couple of people commented that it looks like the robot mode can't be posed much. Anyone here know what they're talking about?

I pre ordered one of these last week, can't wait to get him and paint him up abit.

But I've got I nagging feeling in my head that I'd be happier with the desert version... even though that has a wierd clear blue muzzle brake :???:

I really like the head design on this guy, it's got a generic, utilitarian military feel and it suits him perfectly.

I do think the miniture turret with the two barrels on top of the main turret is a stupid piece of design though, it's unrealistic as hell, he could have done without it.

I think Hasbro should let us trade a Deluxe Brawl for a Leader Brawl, because deluxe Brawl arms keep popping off.

Check on the first page, I mirrored the images..and added a few more..

Also Leader Brawl as you can see, is very posable, and is in my view, one of the greatest Leader Class figures released this year..I am glad Hasbro took their time to workout all the bugs and get this guy right...can we get that leader class Starscream, Ironhide, Bonecrusher, and Blackout now??

A leader Bumblebee would be nice, Screw that Ultimate class one!!! I would love to see the deluxe model 08 ver. get resized and added with better transformation, more detail and articulation, and possibly some additional detail and accurate paint applications too!!

Simple answer. His feet don't sit flat because there is no ball joint. That's inexcusable when another figure of the same class and in the same line has it.

I'll never understand why Bay and the producers didn't change the name to Brawl from Devastator. Hasbro should have demanded it. It would have taken all of about 10 minutes to update the subtitle where they use his name. It's not like they spoke it over and over again. Sucks because they've basically closed the door on introducing the real Devastator in future films. Oh well, despite the non-posable feet, the figure's pretty nice. Bring on that desert camo.

From what I understand, a rumor is that the DVD release will have the corrected subtitles...and also a possible extended DVD version down the road...

Agreed, Leader Prime is all sorts of awesome. But I think a figure can be "less" than Prime and still worth the price of admission. Ball joints are really underused in all the movie toys, and ankle ball-joint are so awesome on those rare occassions where we actually do get a figure with some. Yeah, I think Prime is worth the 80$ (or 60$ I got him for when he was on sale, I only get the Leaders if I can get them cheaper - if I wasn't a starving student, I'd pay the full price), but even without the ankle joints, Brawl is cool enough to buy. Hell, as good of a figure as Prime is, he doesn't have a rotating waist either (neither does Brawl, sadly), and those are great for cool action poses.

So, in conclusion.

Prime = Worth it (and then some)
Brawl = Worth it
Megatron = Worthless.

I spose you're right. The figure is incredibly nice besides that blatantly obvious omission. At least if he's anything like Leader Prime stock wise, I'll have plenty of time to mull over whether I should get him or not.

He looks bloody cheap with all those white parts and the clear plastic rocket pods. How hard is it for Hasbro to make those parts silver? I'd pass this figure just for this. $50 is a lot of money and any less from perfect and it ain't worth my cash.
