It is just a bit sad that it is a 3rd party company that is making this type of effort, while we have seen nothing similar from Hasbro.
They could easily pump out special editions of Ratchet, GI Joe Doc and/or Clone troop medics, and donate proceeds to the relief effort in Japan.
If anyone on the boards has any pull with Hasbro, I know I would buy such figures, over and above any other donations I have already made, and I am sure others would too.

Or they could have just donated, but have asked for no publicity.
They may have already sent a check to the Red Cross, instead of putting out some sort of limited edition toy to raise money.

You'd think they did a good amount better than that considering minimum required donation was $15. $15 x 1500 = $22500. And I'd hope a few hundred or better gave more than the bare minimum...

robofreak wrote:Well, I'll admit that I gave the bare minimum because that was all I could afford.
You have to remember that in some cases, the bare minimum is a big sacrifice.
Not trying to come across a mean, I just don't want people going into a mindset of people just donated because they wanted a figure. I was going to donate and then the annoncment of Blesser was one of those "Cool!" moments that sweetened the moment.
Really I was just grateful to donate at least a little bit.
DevastaTTor wrote:What's the latest on this? Has FansProject posted any follow-up details on how they'll be distributing this figure or when? I'm in China right now and their page isn't accessible.
I'm in no rush to get him and the reality is, even though I know I'm somewhere on the list of people who'll get one, if I don't wind up receiving one, that's OK too. I was going to donate anyway so this was just a bonus.
Was just curious though...
