Flux Convoy wrote:This set is far and away, a much better product than the Superion set. However, I dislike how loose some of the connections are. Like the forearm piece(s) for Vortex, that should plug somehow instead of simply sliding on. Also, Blast-Offs' feet joints/hand peg are loose, so holding that huge sniper rifle straight is a test. The crotch piece, while it sits tightly, is too large to allow the upper thigh pieces much movement without being pretty careful. That should have been an early change, it's really my only big complaint about the set. The back cannon and finding the perfect alignment for it to peg in, isn't fun either though. Sadly, it seems that no matter what, combiners may never be as solid as I'd like.
Having said all of that negative sounding ish, do not hesitate to buy. Don't get me wrong here, this set is as close to perfect as we can possibly expect. The engineering and combination of certain pieces had me smiling and thinking how clever these guys can really be. Every piece seems to have multiple purposes and I feel that you really get a lot of value for the asking price. It elevates a semi-decent combiner team to sky-high levels. I don't think I could possibly give a higher reccomendation (sp?). My niggles about the set are far outweighed by how impressive the complete package really is.

My set is on it's way along with a hefty pile of loot. It's taking a strange route though and it's got me kind of worried

also, is everyone-elses brawl look different than what FP shows in they're instructions? the turret which is made up of his arms and head look to be further towards the front of the tank? I tried retransforming mine several times and could not get mine to look like that. It doesnt hinder anything it just looks off as its covering his knee pad.

Blackstreak wrote:I just received my set of these guys. Pretty awesome. I would like to add at least one precaution. On Bruticus' head module, when you click it in place and transform Onslaught into vehicle mode, make sure the head piece is turned sideways so the antennae fit between the arms. One of my antennae is already cracking at the base. I'm kicking myself like an idiot for not realizing this.

LiKwid wrote:I haven't seen the energon set so I took a pic with the snowman superion!..There were a couple of "HOLY S*&^" moments while transforming stuff , this set seems a tad on the brittle side but man once you get everything in the right spot it's awesome..Overall Im pleased with it but the purple chopper is hittin the paint shop soon...he sticks out a little too much for me...I had a helluva time getting the new head in place..The instructions say that it's supposed to "Snap" into place but I literally had to force it in.. The back cannon peice refuses to stay on bruticus' back especially when I try and pose him up but it looks so damn awesome that I can over look it..
Superion has now been put in his place....

You're supposed to tilt the head so the antennas go inside the fist holes. It's what the instructions say.

The Bruticus upgrade makes Superion upgrade look puny.
But having both combiners before I got both Upgrades and ROTF Bruticus was tall with the energon limbs than ROTF Superion anyway.
I like the way it looks on E-Bruticus, but Swindle's colors are a bit washed...not in a bad way, it's just the britghtness of the E-Bruticus limbs make it stand out more. I would use E-Barricade (onslught as the main body, and use E-Barawn, but keep ROTF Vortex and I think we have Bruticus.
