All the crossfire sets have dealt with combiners. Munitioner and Explorers' intsruction book showed a new crossfire combiner.... Why would this not be it? I know Fansproject is planning that complete made up set the Glacial bots, and maybe that's crossfire 03 who knows besides Fansproject????

The Crossfire series wasn't made to be all combiners. Specifically, its purpose was to release projects made by other designers, while Parallax is for their main designer. As the new teaser image for Causality says, this is a new series, and does not end the original Crossfire series. Its just a spinoff. I would say, Causality is for stand alone figures now, and the main Crossfire series is for combiner related figures and such.

and at this rate if they come out before the warbots fansproject wont get any of my $ at all in 2011 sitck to what is stated fp any more let downs like this and you will have lost me completely
Oilspill wrote:Back on topic, I'm glad they won't combine, it means that they won't be in limb mode forever and allows me to display them in their awesome bot modes. I was debating getting a second Munitioner/Explorer for this purpose but couldn't justify it - but with new character retools I'm all for it now.
monstergrotusque wrote:CA 04.....the only transformer from G1 i've ever seen with claws remotely like that would be Repugnus. With all that kibble behind his head there it looks like the robot mode of G1 Repugnus who has the bug head folded back with the pincers sticking up like that.
I'm just dreaming of course.....i can dream can't i? I did ask FP a year ago to make the Monsterbots.

FP don't tend to reply to emails, so it's not like they could contact them directly. The news guys are working for free to get TF news to us and give something to the fandom. What are you doing?
Just saying what is on my mind thats something we all have a right to do

Well, I don't know where the rumors for this not being a combiner came from, but I really do think it is.
1: It's a five bot team, so naturally one thinks of the combiners teams. Then there's the fact that these two bot are repaints, with some slight tweaks.
2: While the pegs have been remove from Warcry's knees, it is, after all, just promotional art, or box art, so it may just be FP wanting the toy to look it's best.
3: There is certainly less combiner bits shown with these two then there are with the Muntioner and Explorer, you have to remember that they were coming packed with the extra parts for the whole team. This time around FP is not upgrading three existing designs, they're making them from scratch. I really do look forward in seeing how the rest of the team stores their combiner kibble/bits, and what new weapons they come with.
So with the combiner kibble being split among five figures instead of two, I'm hoping Warcry and Flameblast will be cheaper than their Bruticus counterparts.

Good points, but:
1. They homage Micromaster characters that aren't combiners (well, Fireshot is kinda, but a different type of combiner).
2. Venksta, who works with FP, says they're not combiners.
Point number 2 is really all that's required to put that rumour to rest.
