Well, two out of the 5 are going to be repaints, which is a pretty decent ratio when you compare FP to HasTak.

Actually it's a bit of a misnomer. Crossfire is the term they use for designs that are not from their main designer, who dubbed himself Parallax some time ago and decided to keep the name. Crossfire is designs created by others who go to FansProject for their expertise in getting the design to work, then to produce it. The fact its been combiners thus far may indicate that it's the same "other" designer, or different designers with similar end goals, which would explain why the execution on Superion and Bruticus were so different.
At least that's how it was explained to me by someone claiming to be "in the know" on these things. I could just be barking up the wrong tree here.
