Im not sure why you would get offended. You post on this forum regularly so I assume youre a buyer of 3rd party products. Needles to say you wouldnt fall into the category of fans that I consider to be hasbro extremists. Its a pretty small group actually, but cmon you know they exist. I know the word extremist is generally used to describe negative outlooks, but I didnt mesn it in a bad way. You could be an extremist when it comes to house cleaning or personal hygiene. That doesnt make you bad or evil. When you think about it, the word "fan" is short for fanatic, which is often used to describe someone who goes to extremes. So calling them hasbro extremists is just being politically correct.

I'm not at all offended, I just think that way of thinking is somewhat faulty. Think of it as a dispassionate, Shockwave-like parsing rather than an emotional reaction to your statement.
Sure there are people who only buy Hasbro products, but they have various reasons - either expense, wariness over QC, simple lack of interest, you name it. Lumping them all together as "extremists" just seems like a flawed way to make an argument.
Besides, if anything, you're an anti-Hasbro extremist. You would go out of your way to screw Hasbro, and screw them hard (). Or at least that's the impression you give.
I'm somewhere in the middle. Sometimes I think of myself as a Hasbro apologist, but I certainly buy 3rd Party stuff (MMC Leo Dux releasing this week! Woot Woot!), and enjoy what the unofficial market has to offer.
My point is that you're over-simplifying the fandom by applying labels, and I think that works against you.

I wasn't even considering people with QC complaints or short on funds as part of the Hasbro extremists. Theyre not the ones who beat the dead IP horse to a bloddy pulp. Even Hasbro has lost interest in targeting IP theft. Theyre too busy milking the 30th anniversary and preparing for bay mania. But some people wont accept the fact that 3rd parties (and KO's) are here to stay. They love to throw up the term "official" on these boards like if it was a shiny badge of honor. The IP wars are over. KO Toys martyred themselves for the good of the cause. Others have since taken their place. And 3rd parties flourish and continue to pry open the Hasbro vault of obscure characters with a crowbar. And TFW2005 never followed Seibertron's lead with the anti-3rd party stance as many had speculated they were going to. So when are these Hasbro extremists going to throw in the towel ? How must longer must were have to hear that annoying word "official" in these threads ? If they aren't "Hasbro extremists" then Im Santa Claus.
It's no secret I don't consider todays Hasbro corporate the creator of G1. They just inherited G1 and dug it out of it's grave. So honestly I consider G1 IP nothing but a joke. a bunch of papers that have been locked in a vault for 30 years passed down from CEO to CEO in the Hasbro corporate succession. For the record I'm not as anti-Hasbro as people think I am. I buy plenty of Hasbro TF products. I'm in the middle just like you. With a majority of the G1 creators retired from Hasbro or dead, my allegiance is to the G1 characters themselves. not the corporate suits who retain G1 copyrights. so in retrospect, I really don't give a damn who fills the gaps in my collection. As long as someone does.

X,Are you serious? Why so much stored up rage & Hate against fans & companies?
It sounds like you are curious to know what fans think. Just so you can fully mock & bash them further.
Your getting overly carried away in your Hastak & fans bashing.

The question is "are you ok with the glacialbots being unofficially inserted into official hasbro fiction, or do you consider it an invasion of hasbros turf ? But sometimes you act like you are part of that group...
FP glacialbots were designed to be displayed with official hasbro vintage figures. They were even given backstory in an attempt to link them to official fiction. Many vintage G1 collectors are hasbro extremists because if they dont collect classics, what other option besides hasbro do they have ? So im wondering how they feel about adding these glacialbots to their vintage G1 collection. Yay or nay and why ?mooncake623 wrote:Rated X wrote:I think youre not reading my question. Why would you ask a question to "hasbro extremists" in a Third party fourm?
They wouldn't be here to answer your question.

Thank you. But you do collect 3rd party stuff too though, right ? Im a bit more curious how those who dont view this set ? Since its brick figures, it really doesnt fit with anything else but vintage hasbro figures. Vintage collectors tend to avoid 3rd parties unless they collect classics lines too. Thanks for answering though.

You have to apply the majority of the stickers. If I remember correctly, they may have come with one or two from the sticker sheet already applied. It was kinda funny, in a sadistic way.
