There were also talks about possibly putting the heads up on shapeways.

It's always baffled me that nobody has cleaned up on making new heads for 3rd party figures.

It's FunPub. It's their specialty.

The G1 heads could use a few more lines and details to make them fit in with the FP Bodies, but everything else is spot on. Im not a big "asthethics" guy anyways. Gimmie G1 and Im a happy camper. I dont mind a few extra lines and sharp edges to make it look more real than the quickly drawn G1 cartoon frames. And Fansproject is very good at that. But sometimes they get a little carried away and get Hasbroish. These new heads will greatly improve the figures in my opinion. Now that Im thinking about it, this would be an excellent set for Beezleboss to take on. It looks like the same style, anime with a touch of neo but not too much.
craggy wrote:re: Dead-End's TFP Knock-Out looking chest, it's weird that it bugs me so much, since I was the one who said he'd be happy with a girl Dragstrip. I guess it's just that the Stunticons were something of a favourite of mine as a kid, and they always had the cars outside, and then their chests weren't the same as their car parts. There were plenty of bots that did have car t-shirts, but the Scramble City guys almost always just had flat, boxy chests, and I liked that about them. Even in the animation models you could usually tell a combiner guy apart from a solo guy. Racial profiling it may be, but it's what I think of when I think of gestalts, and I've watched those Stunticon/Aerialbot episodes a lot.

Agreed. In this case, adding G1 heads to non-G1 bodies doesn't look right.

I agree. The GTO G2 Megatron is a prime example of it just not working. It's like Classics heads on Animated figures. It's just wrong.

Oh, you thought there was a day that they DID NOT do this, on all TF-centric boards?
If anything, they at least know we're eager for every little tidbit that can be found, up to and including the final Motormaster/Menasor reveal. I'd say that all pieces should be readily available before summer ends, whether they keep up the 1-a-month release or need a bit more time to finish. Even then there will be other figures we're STILL trying to figure out.
Thadicon wrote:Eager is an understatement on here i think especially when it comes to the outcome of these figures. By the looks of it these will be 1 figure a month but i think after the toyfairs showings today i think they might forward a prototype of at least Motormaster. But then again maybe not after this comment

Actually, I think I saw some stunticon botshots pics floating around, though, I suppose that doesn't technically count.
