Indeed! I'd not want to see MMC and FP go head-to-head with something like Defensor. The best thing here is that there are two different sets coming out.

They had me at hello with this set. The only combiner I had as a kid was Menasor so these guys hold a special place in my heart. Breakdown looks fantastic to me and some of the little issues some seem to have with the mold are things I can easily overlook.

Might regret this but I think I'll keep my powder dry in regards Predaking and set my sights purely on Menasor this year.

I'm gonna get both as there is nothing i need from any Prime or FOC line that can compare to these, there's some nice stuff but nothing anywhere near as mind blowing as the release of these two combiners so the plan is to mainly focus my money into Menasor & Predaking and i'm really wanting to get a start on Uranos and Hercules later on in the year.

Well what I really wanted was the faceplates on the proper characters and some short antennas on the side of Wildrider/Dragstrip's head that wont break. If every G1 combiner limb was made to homage 1986 port technology (square heads) we would have 29 bots with slight varriants of the same head. I think thats why in the cartoon, some of the characters got new heads, while others like the Combaticons retained their toy accurate heads. I like that variety. The G1 cartoon holds priorty with me because I didnt own every toy as a kid. The cartoon was my reference to how these characters looked and it stuck with me. So thats why Im not a fan of "toy accurate" designs. I believe the whole point of CHUG lines is to give us the anime look we didnt get in the 80's, not just replicate the toys from the 80's with more joints.

You may want to hold off until after Toy Fair's announcements before fully committing your money. If even half of what I heard is true, this is going to be a good year for fans from both Hasbro and 3rd Parties...

but i am gonna stick to it for the fact of that's why i don't have hercules already because i bought other stuff :BANG_HEAD:

, the only thing that could sway me to hasbro is new classic generations and as for 3rd party well there's plenty to stop me dead in my tracks now without hearing of anymore down the road :lol:

SEXY! I can't wait for these guys! It's worth it, to me to put off some other things like the MMC Predicons and Hexatron. I got both in G1 style, and i'm totally happy with those guys, so I stand by getting the not stunticons. Can't wait to see the rest...

It's looks more pure white than the cream of the G1 model. Of course it;s really not about Breakedown, but the whole Menasor for me.

Like him a lot. Head not exactly spot on but can live with. Just hope the creamy white will be the end result not this bright white.

Nobody is more G1 than me, but I can live with the bright white since it is a neo Lambo. As long as it has the orange hood Im a happy camper. Cream would be nice though.

Whoa, I thought Breakdown looked sexy...then I saw frickin' Wildrider!!!! He looks EPIC!

Deadend looks awesome too, I love the mold they created for him. I can see myself getting doubles of some of these just to keep in bot and/or vehicle mode. They look that good. Of course, they still remind me of Prime Wheeljack, but who cares? I love that mold

Yep, definitely badass! And they are still being shy with the Motormaster pics... but I'm glad we're finally getting colored images and look forward to pre-ordering.
