I prefer Classics Rod, he's the closest to the sleek race car Hot Rod should be.

TFC-13 Hot Rodimus reissue. He has both the Targetmaster and his original guns
Micromaster Hot Rodimus that came with Star Convoy
Energon Rodimus and it's repaint Checkpoint (both aren't G1 Hot Rod or Rodimus Prime)
Kiss Players Hot Rodimus and Alternator Rodimus
Universe Legend Rodimus
Shattered Glass Rodimus
The upcoming Animated Rodimus Minor
And WST as mentioned before.

Classics and Alternators are my two favourite, and while I don't have the Energon version, I do have his black repaint, which is pretty skookum.

i SO FORGOT THE ALTERNATOR/KISSPLAYER AND SHATTERED GLASS , THANKS!!!

If it weren't for the heels of the Energon version (I'm in particular looking at the mold degradation on Thunderclash) he'd be my favorite. He's the best set of legs in the Energon deluxes.

But, because of that, I've got to go with Classics. Not Henkei either. No matter how many times CP tries to talk me into him, I just can't get past the chrome spoiler. It looks too gaudy.

Titanium, with Classics as the second. Titanium Rodimus looks like a fitting Prime upgrade to the Cl Hot Rod, and has the best looking alt. mode from the 'Rods.

I love the Energon Rodimus, however, I'm fully prepared to have Titanium Rodimus Prime perhaps replace him. Just gotta wait until V-Day to get to play with him.

G1 Hot Rod tops them all, sadly I lost mine. I'm so waiting for encore to bring him out again.


Anyway of what I do have:

My favorite is still Energon Rodimus. Don't know why, but that Turbo race Truck alt mode is just awesomesauce.

Yes he's the worst set of arms for the Energon powerlinkers but he really doesn't need to be combined with anybody to be cool.

Close second has to be Classics. Very cool all around. A little limited in articulation, but he looks pretty cool in both modes.

And Titanium just because he's hefty and metallic, and very cool. Love the way they incorporated the trailer part onto his legs

I have other stand-ins such as the Super SideBurn repaint from R.I.D.

The the one I really need to get my hands on is the Cybertron Excellion figure. I have Hot-Shot and love the car mode. But the Hot-Rod paint scheme would look so cool amongst the other hot-rod-esque figures.

Also the upcoming Animated Rodimus is going to be snatched up as soon as he is seen.

Mega SCF - doesn't transform but very accurate representation of the movie Hot Rod. Looks nice with G1 Prowl in Bot mode. Even with Kup who being a truck, I would expect to be larger.

Also like Energon Rodimus and the Revoltech which is very poseable and I love his 2 guns.

G1 Hot Rod had the best car mode though.

Bought a custom which is a repainted Clocker which works very well.

G1 Rodimus Prime.
I kid, I kid... though I do love my G1 Rodimus Prime, I'd say my favourite thus far would have to be Classics... still hoping for that Protector armor though...

Excillion or Exillion?

I like the Alternators version. I have him holding MP Prime's Matrix.

But you know what really kills me, is that back when Cybertron was around I saw a ton of Excellions in the shelves at my Walmart, and I chose not to buy one because I already had Hot-Shot. Boy am I kicking myself now for that decision.

Alternators Rodimus is at the top for me, but as soon as the FP Protector finally F'ing drops, that'll jump straight to the top.

My fav is Alternators SDCC exclusive cos he's got the flames, a sleek car mode and looks really cool in bot mode. Plus, great articulation. And a flip down visor like a fireman helmet. And two guns. And the two guns can combine into one gun.

You totally are bragging. Choro Q even? Nice. Well, I think I have all of the regular HasTak transforming Roddies plus Revoltech, but I only have 1 version of each mold, so that means no GF Exillion or Kissplay Rodimus. Oh, and I skipped the Universe Legend.

It's hard to decide a favorite. I guess Cybertron Excellion is pretty awesome, especially if you do the wing swap. But he's still no Exillion. I really do have a soft spot in my heart for the original G1 too. Classics is mostly great as well. And I really like Alternators Rodimus. And Energon's not bad too. Revoltech is really posable and cool-looking. I love them all!!

You'll regret finding one. They don't come anywhere close to cheap. I just got one myself. Only people with money to blow and idiots will pay the prices people want for that figure. Trust me, I'm an idiot. I speak from experience.
