Why aren't there any ? They would be loved and be beautiful .Or are the decepticons too traditonal or rely on too much brute strength.They could have their own armies if they could reproduce. Or the guys never heard of it?

did you see any female decepticons at all until blackaracnia came along ( yes i know she's a predacon)? no. so there couldnt have been any female decepticon leaders, cause we never saw any female decepticons!

On a basic level, the shows and toys are meant to appeal to boys and marketing doesn't beleive that boys would be interested in a female leading character or female-based toys.

Since the Transformers are robots, and can have any body they like, to me there's nothing that says a female autobot or decepticon cannot be as strong or stronger than a male autobot. You could put a "female" spark in Omega Supreme or Astrotrain or the Constucticons, theoretically. She wouldn't have a humanoid female-shaped body, but it should work.

It could be that there hasn't been enough time yet to produce a female leader. There have only been a few generations of leaders (Liege Maximo, Jhiaxus, Megatron etc.,) or maybe they haven't 'progressed' far enough to consider making a female the leader.

This could be asked of the Autobots also. If they are so 'equal' why haven't there been any female Autobot leaders?

to be honest in the world of TF's and especialy with the decepticons i think they would be sexist against a female leader. they would all say the same thing "why should a strong male decepticon follow a weak female" or something along those lines....but then i can see the female kickeing that bots butt and then be like "whos weak now!" lmao..... who knows

Did you forget about Elita-One? She actully IS the leader of the Autobots on Cybertron. (At least in Prime's absence on Earth)

Then there's Botanica who was a Maximal leader.

Just because we never saw any didn't mean they didn't exsist. You're thinking to litterally about "this is a cartoon, the reason this didn't happen is because the wrighters didn't want it to happen"

It's a hypothetical question regarding fictional characters. You kinda have to pretend they're real to give any sort of answer that isn't "because that's not what the righters wanted." Everyone allready knows that part so why bother exsplaining it?

but yeah, I think there were much more females than actually appeared in the cartoons.. a good inspiration for creating a fanfic perhaps? :-?

Uh, there were no female Decepticons because Transformers is generally a toyline for BOYS. The only reason for Female Autobots is because they needed a story for that episode, and to show a more human side to the Autobots, as a way of showing them as good guys, AGAIN. And I mean, apart from Blackarachnia, all the Female Decepticon figures are botcon exclusives, etc.

OK Guys Blackarachnia is not the only female Decepticon/Predacon/Vehicon. What about Strika and Thunderblast?

True Strika looks like a female body builder on steroids if she looks female at all and Thunderblast is just a homage to Elieta-One. Of course Thunderblast might be the only real Female Decepticon. Blackarachnia was a Maximal protoform then a Predacon then a Maximal. And I've allways belived Obsidian and Strika were originally Autobots.

I don't see why there couldn't be a female Decepticon leader. As long as she had all the main con leader personality traits (meglomania and a sense of superiority) and a cool toy I'd accept it.

I'd like to see a complex Decepticon empire with multiple warlords (you could easily bring in a couple of female characters here).

Could be done, with the various city states on Cybertron and TF colonies you could easily create a sort of Decepticon feudal system.

I think the lack of female characters is due to Transformers being toy based. Any actual female body parts makes a transforming toy really impossible. Hence the lack of Arcee toys, and the even Energon Arcee doesn't look that feminine.

I allways thought the Tarantulas toy looked like a girl... a fat girl.

Anyway what good are female body parts on a robot anyway? Strika and Override (yes I know Override is a male in Galaxy Force) are probly the best female characters because they don't have female body parts. They'd just be there for looks and serve no real purpus and this whole conversation is getting rather perverted. :shock:

I once saw this really weird fanfic that portrayed Megatron as female...

Awkward moment aside, Ah, the power of wikipedia.

I think a female decepticon leader would be an interesting twist, I can imagine a sultry bot sitting on a throne, crossing her legs with a robotic high-heeled leg dangling back and forth with her head concealed in the shadows as one of her minions kneels before her to make a report.

I actually find the Arcee pretty feminine. It's got thick thighs and high-heels what more could you need?

And as for "Female parts on a robot", a woman's legs are spread a little farther apart, so a female bot could be a bit more stable. Also, how can we forget those beauties from the Austin Powers movie: "Machine gun jubblies!"
