Fewture has announced a G1 Megatron to go along with their Ultimetal Optimus Prime! They revealed the prototype at Hong Kong's C3 Festival. Based on what we know about UM-01 Optimus Prime we can expect diecast parts, light & sound features, removable panels, and more. Check out the images courtesy of TAG Hobby mirrored below:

Not crazy about the facial expression - it looks like he's lost an argument and sulking - and there looks to be a little (dare I say it?) too much detail in the panelling etc with all the dents, and divots and grooves and bumps and whatnot.

Too much detail. Is that a thing? Also, he looks super pouty like Prime just refused his offer for a date.

Still appears to be a rough prototype, but as is I really hate his lower legs. For some reason they removed the gun grip panels from his legs. And yeah, the detail work is far too extreme, especially on his arms. I'd rather have a second try on an MP for $200 than this for $800.

So what is UM-02?

The face alone doesn't look much better IMO. Looks like a scowling Derek Zoolander to me. The overall head, however, is much better.

My wallet isn't going to like this. I just hope that they would also do MP Megatron V2 similar to this, since IMO this is most likely the best official Megatron thus far.

It'd be worth the price if it transforms into a functional Walther P38. But as it is, it doesn't even transform.

This looks pretty awesome, won't be getting it since I don't have the money to spend on this or the Optimus, if I did I wouldn't even try to resist.

But, I think this isn't even a proper prototype, more a concept layout or something. Look at it, it's just the Optimus Prime with a Megatron shell on it. The feet, elbows and hands are exactly the same, and you can even see the Optimus Prime figure under the parts in some places, like the sleeves, elbows, feet, knees, and chest!

Well, this is UM-03. We don't yet know what UM-02 is.
