Okay, they took a screwed up looking Prime and screwed it up more. Pass. Are Universe Classics here yet?

Battle damaged Optimus??? Nah.. I know what this is...
Some employee got sick of painting these toys making minimal wages and so he went through 50,000 toys and sprayed random gray paint all over the toys at different points. Hasbro found out too late before the guy quit and then the toy exec had a thought:
"Wait! We don't have to throw these out... Let's call this battle damaged prime and sell it as a new product!"
"But it doesn't even look damaged. It's just gray spray paint over half its face and body."
"You want to start looking for another job?"
"Looks great, sir! Let's do it!"

LOL! QFT!
Nah seriously, if anyone wants a PROPER battle damaged look, either do it yourself or hire me to do it for you.

It barely looks different from the original. I could understand getting this if you weren't going to get another version of this mold. But I could only see completists getting all of the different variations. They are all very similar. Annoying.
in short... I want a Nemesis Prime!

?Universe Classics?
An Idea, or a Fact!?!
I need 2 more StarScreams, unless of course they break down and do a Thrust and ThunderCracker(than I'm good).
Dirdge is easy enough as I have the RamJet, inverted the wings, and soon will be painting, but still if they'd save me the effort there too, all the better, I'll just make some additional Seekers.
Also F BotCon, I'm still not over this one!

Hasbro really want to get their money out of the Voyager mold.
I'm very glad that I got the Robovision Prime.
Hasbro have not gotten any better at making battle damaged figures at all.

I am perfectly happy with my leader Prime.
The only Voyager Prime I have is Robovision, I got 2 when they firt hit.
One is sealed, the other in battle, other than that...
Yup, nodda, and I realy need a Voyager Fury to reclaim his leader versions head and restore his Leader form!

If your wondering, Movie Megatron in my collectiive is called Fury.

I agree, but I realy just don't think they want any of the movie figs hanging around for years like in past lines so they're trying to make as many variants as soon as possible and unload them quick.
Also, I agree about Hasbro's suck attempts at Battle Damage. As I've said, Gundam battle damage has Tf battle damage beat hands down.
If I have a figure I'd like to see beat up, I normaly get 2(or more) and do it myself.
At the moment I'm looking for a cheap Primus to try making a Season 1 Cybertron.
How cool would it be to have that decorated figure all rotted and rusty!

The fact that the screws have been painted over would suggest that this is either:
a) a custom
b) an early prototype knocked up in-house at Hasbro

Why don't the repaint leader Prime so I'd have a reason to buy him.

Yeah, but it's rumored to an Argos exclusive, which I think is some kind of department store in the UK.

I dont think its real. Main thing that gives it away are the poor paint apps on the front bumper. You can clearly see the brush bristles, and i dont think even hasbro would do such a piss poor paint job...

The Universe Classics Line starts fall of 2008 and so far definitely contains Classic Sunstreaker, Sideswipe and Octane.

I'll pass. The Movie line isn't good quality wise. It's quality is as bad as Beast Machines. Even the latest Real Gear figures haven't impressed me (High Score 100) and the Transformers at a local Wal-Mart have virtually nothing because they haven't restocked in about a month.

I disagree about their quality. Every movie toy i have so far is of great quality, and quite innovative and impressive to look at when you look at all the finer details. 08 Bumblebee is the perfect example of quality in the movie line.

I don't like the Voyager Prime at all, so i am not eager to get any variants either. Perfectly happy with my Leader Class Prime.
