Why is it that I have some memory of Cyclonus originally being announced as a larger size class??

Oh well, at least as a deluxe, he won't dwarf poor old Galvy. Cyc's legs don't look too sturdy to me, I wonder if they'll support his weight. Also, his color scheme, while not bad, is not overly impressive. I'll probably buy him anyway, just because I'm too impatient to wait for a Henkei release.

I'll probably pass on Hound, as he just doesn't impress me overall, and he was never one of my favorites. Alternators Hound is much better IMO. The Ravage is pretty sweet, but I'll survive.

Cheetor has grown on me a lot, and I plan to pick him up, but if they do more BW Classics, I'll have to start getting picky. I'd really love to see them make Dinobot. His original figure was a big pink turd.

I will never give up the fight that die-cast rules to my dying day (much like the people in that building :grin:

). Funny you should post that since I studied architecture. Plastic will not hold up. Look at the value and production quality of G1 toys.

Maybe the Henkei version will do it for me. It has for the rest of the line so far. My hopes are with Japan! GO JAPAN GO! BANZAI!

Hound will be mine, he is almost a crossover figure (that crossover being Classics/Animated).

Cyclonus looks great as a figure, his paint apps however leave me stupefied, he reminds me of Universe Depth Charge. He looks like he will be a nice large Deluxe figure, which is great after all the smaller deluxes we have had lately.

I don't know about Cheeotr, I don't really see the new figure as that much of an improvement over the original, and I kinda dislike him stealing Animated Prowls Ninja Star idea, considering Cheetor never actually used anything like a ninja star in the BW series...

Agreed. They could have left those out completely and I wouldn't miss them at all. And what's with the tail whip? He didn't get that til his TM form. While I suppose it is a nice nod to his other forms, I'd rather have seen weapons that looked like the ones he had in that form on the show.

They're doing Dinobot. The pic was in the most recent Collector's Club magazine, so you won't find it on any of the main TF boards, but it is out there and you can google it.

Hound & Cylclonus look like great molds but the plastic and paint colours let them down - I'll wait and get the Henkei versions.

You'll have to find it on your own. None of the Transformers boards have pictures because we are respecting the TFCC and their members who have paid for the privilege of getting such information first.

I remember seeing at least pics of Hound at Botcon, for those of us who were there, does anyone else remember him being darker green? I sorta thought he was. I remember they said they did the paint apps for Cyclonus and Acid Storm in darker colors to make them more realistic looking so not sure why Hound is the color he is. I'll still pick him up, for sure...his G1 toy is cool but doesn't go well with some of the others (he looks like a midget)

Some pics shows Hound without an abdomen. It's like a thin stick supporting the upper torso. I hope it's just mistransformed.

Maybe I've just been neglecting to pay attention, but what exactly happens to Ravage in cassette mode? Is he hidden on Hound, does he still fit into Soundwave, or is he just off with all the lost G1 weapons?

Cheetor looks better when properly transformed, but I still can't say I'm impressed. I feel like it could have come out much better. To Hasbro's credit, though, the new beast mode looks better than it ever has before.

However, Cyclonus will be mine.

Ravage cassette should be riding piggy back on Hound jeep. Although you can keep him inside G1 Soundwave.

He's 10th Anniversary and he's still drowning in his tears. :sad:
