Love the packaging. Soundwave's box art is awesome.

Now with this new price, I'll be spending even more.

I think it's a good idea to package the Deluxes like that, in bot mode instead of alt mode. I think it makes it look more attractive, and it's probably more space-efficient too, so they can fit more in a case and on the shelves/racks.

I agree that bot mode does look better.

But are we sure that the new line will all be packaged this way? The last 2 preview figures for the last movie were packaged in bot mode as well.

Triple Changer? Nice. Ill be getting Soundwave but not Bumblebee. Not enough mold changes and the ones he did get suck.

I hope that's not the case, this design kicks ass - and I don't want the on-screen Soundwave to be that ugly black pickup concept we saw before.

Considering BB is in the mode he'll stay in in the movie, I'm betting that's soundwave's permanent mode. He's probably just terribly out of class, like bonecrusher was. To be safe, I might wait to see if anyone gets a leader treatment, like Brawl did.

Soundwave is a triple-changer???We've seen a lot of photos & videos of this toy around the net but the only known modes are the robot mode & the "satelite" mode....Is there anyone owning this toy(there were a few of them for sale @ ebay a few months ago)who could give some info about the third mode??I can't even imagine what could it be....

I'll definitely be buying that, but I hope Hasbro make a premium version of these toys or Takara, metallic blue will definitely suit him. I just hope they keep his synthesized voice in the movie, cause Soundwave is not Soundwave without his voice.

Soundwave reminds me of BW Tigerhawk.

And BB looks like someone knocked him into that card and sealed him up.

The preview figures last time actually said "preview":

http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/ ... /1107/1/0/

My bet is Soundwave is a jet and satellite. He flies from Cybertron to earth as a jet, and then sets up in orbit as a satellite to scan the earth for Megatron (or perhaps for Jetfire), sending down Ravage to aid in this task.

I'm hoping if they make an earth-mode Soundwave, that Ravage is not just an add-on like Frenzy, but that he also gets his own deluxe a la Scorponok.

If that is the case, I'll probably get this Soundwave and deluxe Ravage, unless the earth-mode Soundwave blows me away (I'd rather have a wierd jet/satellite to mix into the collection than another car or truck that will get lost in the shuffle).
Haslab, please make me.

Bumblebee's a pass. Never liked that mold, and the "help, I'm being raped!" expression doesn't help. Soundwave... maybe. I find myself regretting not getting Protoform Prime now, so I'll try and learn from that. But it is ugly, so maybe I'll wait to see his Earth mode.

i dont get the hate for bumblebee's face.....it actually looks like the movie now. whether you hate his movie appearance or not, how is it bad that its movie acurate?

as for soundwave, is there any news or rumors regarding his voice? would they have been nice enough to give frank welker the job since they screwed him over for megatron?

I'm surprised...

Soundwave, satellite mode: Wings point out in "triangular" pattern.

Soundwave, "jet" mode: Wings curl up and face forward, like Vector Prime.

For a bot that's supposedly so full of win, that has to go down in history as the lamest triple-change I can ever remember seeing.

Though, I'll admit, the rest of him (for a movie bot) is still awesome...

No Cryo Scourge is the lamest tripplechange ever.

Does that BB have a different transformation than the previous movie deluxe? It seems like a big waste of money to buy this one, since there's already a CC BB, a premium BB, a Cliffjumper. Also, the head mold does look pretty stupid. He literally looks like he is not smart.
