Well, 2 things.

First, there is a psychological mechanic where your personal preferences fill in the blanks of any image you perceive to make it 'easier' to digest. At the same time, the parts that don't fit the predetermined image appear to have a higher contrast, disrupting the predetermined image, then they actually do. I wish I could remember what it was called. It's the principle behind the Rorschach tests. Basically, you can't tell another person what they are seeing, because they are seeing it differently then you.

Second was the fact that his torso can be perceived as a giant red head. Thanks to the twincast, i learned about Linkara who did a review of Kool-aid man #1. I watched it yesterday and the imagery was fresh in my head when i saw this story. I thought for a second about bay's love of explosions and pictured SP crashing through a wall going "Oh Yeah."

I guess my post was more stream of consciousness then an obvious pun or joke on the subject matter. my bad.

However, I do have a bad feeling about the 'Bad Boys 2' vibe of the spread. Another Bay Classic.

Awesome! I'm really looking foward to this movie more than ever! Both Primes look great to me and I hope they are really badass in the movie. But I don't want them to be so badass that Megatron/Starscream/Shockwave get completely owned in less than a minute.... I hope Megatron and Starscream will be really tough and intimidating like they were in the first movie; from what Bay said Shockwave is set to be really bad, but I just hope he doesn't get a Fallen death. And I hope Megatron and Starscream escape alive.

Interesting,
I went to the stands to pick up EMPIRE, and instead they had Jack Sparrow and a in depth interview about Pirates 4. There was only one page mentioning "Moon" and it only features a pic of Shia swinging a bit of rubble at yet another accide....oh wait that was from the film? Never mind. :-$

I like that they gave this Bots design more meat along his limbs. Dunno how I feel about their design take on his mustache, feels too organic. As an artist my big thing is faces, so naturally I'm picking apart the facial design...the rest of him look great though. Especially that giant dual sword.

Well Sentinel looks a hell of a lot better there than the toy does. Looking forward to seeing the custom repaints of the toy to match the CGI model much closer in details and paintwork. I'm glad Optimus ain't changed too much (though it does bug me that like many others they use the word 'all-new' for something that isn't all new at all). Very much looking forward to this film and have been watching the first two on blu ray quite a lot lately. Shame eyecandy Fox ain't in it though. I ain't much into blondes.

Sentinel Prime looks badass. He looks like a wise, battle hardened warrior. It's good to see the new Optimus and his mech tech cannon.

Look at the reflection on Sentinels blade. It's either his arm or the head and torso of a bot. If it's a Bot, it doesn't have the silver thingy on Sentinels forehead. Another teaser image?

I love Empire, it's a great magazine. I just got the Captain America issue sent out and I'm definitely getting this one too!

It's the year of the blockbuster and what bigger blockbuster than Transformers

Really enjoyed the first movie, liked the second one on the whole despite irritating characters and am sure they'll go out with a bang in the third one. :BOOM:

Sentinel looks great, and it seems he might be a main character. Prime looks like... Prime. I bet Optimus will look a lot cooler in the movie, and in still pictures of him with not just a profile picture. I want to see how his new design copes with the armor plating on the voyager's chest and hood of the truck.

Looks like the reflection of his arm.
Check the angle of the blade.

I cant see a reflection of another bot in sentinels blade.

Dont know if its allready been mentioned, but........... look at the pic from inside the magazine and try to draw your eyes from sentinel down towards the bottom at the rubble. Could just be a cylindric piece of rubble/wreckage but it looks to me to be mettalic and has serrated teeth, could this be wreckage of the tenticles we have all been wondering about ??? :-?

Sentinel Prime looks so cool! He's really tough looking, like he's gone through years of war. Too bad Michael Bay accidentally named him Sentinel Prime instead of Alpha Trion...

I'm just kidding. But he does resemble Alpha Trion. Could the two characters be connected somehow?

This was the biggest shock of the week! Can't believe this has been released in a magazine first!

Now we just need CGIs of the Ferrari, Wreckers, Mercedes Benz, Soundwave, Crankcase/Dreads, Megatron and the rest of the of Cybertronian cast.
