Don't forget that in the G1 series (not sure about the others) but the autobots were always a lot smaller then the decepticons. They could never compare in size with all the jets, soundwave, megatron, insecticons etc. The only members the could compare in early G1 were very few; dinobots and optimus. Near the beginning of the G1 they literally had nothing to compare, thus they used their wits rather then brawn which what the autobots are known for. Decepticons = killing machines; where as the autobots were never meant for any type of destruction.

If these designs are legit then I am soooooo down with it! Devastator looks freakin' awesome and monstrous!! And the Fallen looks like pure evil. Sure, it does look like a little like a Pred and an Alien had a baby but I don't really mind. Also, if that's a pyramid he's standing at the top of then he's pretty damn big, too!

Are these designs from the game company making the computer game?

the Head head of that new gestalt devestator (or how ever movie will spell it) look like the new Megatron, look at it carefully. the spirals on the neck even bare a resemblence to scorpinox that suposedly what the new new megatron body leaning to wards.

its like his body collaps in slightly and his head and certain pannels expand, any spare parts hidden somewere off shot in the body of the new Giant

Devastator looks like a demon from World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade. The Fallen looks like a Xenomorph.

I'm not digging the look. They are trying too hard to make them look organic.

I didn't think that I could top my story idea that I did with Optimus unleashing the Allspark in a Home Depot (and I had SFX and Camera angle ideas in that one) but syphonn finding this pic was just the inspiration I needed. So I can't get all the credit for this one.

I'll have to do some digging in the archives here to get the link, if possible. I have the page saved on my hard-drive because I loved Shadowmans response to my post. If anyone can navigate the site faster, the topic was "Writers reveal theme of 'Transformers Sequel' - the bad new? and my post was done on July 31, 08.
Personally, I think that either or both ideas are just what this movie needs. I see no reason why comedy and sheer destructive mayhem can't blend well together. If your brain is fast enough to keep up with the irony AND carnage simultaneously it makes for one hell of a fun ride

You have no idea how long it has taken me to compose myself long enough to even be able to type! Everybody has been saying that if folks don't like the movie(s) storyline then maybe they should quit their bitching and write a better one themselves. We may very well be the mad geniuses that could pull it off and get a huge box-office draw. So, what's on your agenda for the next couple of years? I'm thinking if we jump on it now we can get TF3 rolling since Bay wants to take a year off. :grin:

Devastator looks freakin sweet! Just like I pictured him looking in my head really. Bayformers meets G1 completly. perfect fusion of both!

The Fallen, well I don't know what he looked like originally, but man he is an ugly beast. Looks like an Alien from the Alien movies had sex with a Transformer and this is the offspring.

how in the hell are the autobots gonna deal with devastator, prime was struggling with just one of the constructicons. i wonder if there is going to be a suprise like an autobot combiner. oh, and to all the people out there hating the different and awesome movie robot designs, quit complaining. you can always go watch the 86' movie

Maybe I missed the post, but is anyone gonna go ahead and make a comment on where Galvatron comes into all of this? After they didn't destroy Megatron and just dumped his offline @$$ in to the middle of the ocean, I immediately thought of the prospect of something or someone bringing him back up, reanimating him and naming him Galvatron... That IS how the story goes, anyway. Just a thought. As for Devastator, the brightly colored G1 combiner is awesome, to be sure, but I'm glad they thought to make him a bit more not-from-around-here. Besides, it gives us something new we want to go out and buy!

Just because most Transformers stories have had a Megs=Gav storyline, doesn't mean that the Bayverse will. Most indications are that Megs will return and stay as Megs not reformat into Galvatron.

Seriously, we are glad to have you and I hope you don't think that I'm the norm. as far as what you have to deal with. Everyone else on here is great! I'm usually pretty well behaved and jovial and it's been months since anyone has had to sic animal control on me so you should do just fine.
