Or at least 1 at a time depending on the mission.
Where will the others hide when they're not needed yet?
If there not needed for the mission they can stay back at the base. The other cons hid in plane sight but there's nothing saying that Ravege couldnt hide in the wild or just about anywhere in his cat mode.Lazerbeak could say in the air of in some trees. It not like we would see any of that in the film anyway.Even if that shot it it would only end up on the cutting room floorThey always wash over small details like that.
How would Soundwave decide who to bring for the moment? His missions are usually impromptu.
Only in G1.If it were a real world thing he would have to be a more effective commander........considering his line of work is comunication and survalince and counter-survalince he would have to make those deciations based on just where the mission was taking place.
I think he will have to be more flexible. Maybe carry 2 or 3 minions for variety of specific functions.

I think carring 2 of them would be pushing it for a number of REAL WORLD reasons.Number 1 being, where would they be stashed in the toy release. If were lucky the Soundwave toy will be in the Voyager size range and I cant see how they would fit 2 other toys into any figure of that size.Worse if they go with the smaller size.Number 2, how would they explain the abilty in the story.People have been nit-picking at just what is Scorponok when he is inside Blackouts alt mode. How would they explain 2 or more of them then.
What your looking for works best in a toon or a comic book where the idea isnt to stay as close as posible to a limited imanagation.

I'm sure 2 minions can fit easily into a Voyager toy. Look at G1 Soundwave.

Yes, i know G1. I was referring to reissue, which is technically, still a G1 design. Only slight modification.

If you have to redesign something it loses its original moniker. Its not G1 anymore, its whatever generation that soundblaster came out in at the very least.
Like the Ipod, its on its 5th or 6th generation but it still looks like the original, doesnt mean its original.

So, does that mean that the remolds of G1 Optimus Prime in the 80s (before Powermasters or G2) weren't G1 Primes?

Did they redesign the mold, or just reproduce the mold?
Sloptank wrote:One idea from ages ago that I saw illustrated had Soundwave as a van and Ravage as the "spare tire" on the back door. I liked the idea a lot, as it gave potential for a very cool "middle of the highway" deployment sequence for Ravage. Additionally, a satellite dish or sensor package on the roof could be deployed as Laserbeak.

Redesigned parts of it. They changed the guns, fists, the holes on the headlights, the smokestacks, and possibly the leg joints (changed from ratcheting to non-ratcheting or vice versa). The feet were altered to correct his balance. I think parts of the trailer changed, too.

Well Soundblaster is also a G1 mold but its from the 1988 Japanese Headmasters toyline.

But its a retooled mold, if it didn't have the redesigned chest then it would be a nonissue,(overall its really a nonissue).
Like my example with the ipod. They came out with the color screen ipod, looked just like the 1st generation, but its really the second generation because they improved the design and functionality of it.

It was more then just the chest........they re-molded the buttons as well. And they did it becaues the original was damaged not to make any improvements. But calling it "second generation" wouldnt be right ether. It was part of the original toyline so I would still call it G1.
In the case of the Ipod they wanted to inprove on the model. With Soundblaster they didnt have a choice.

If the new line came out in 84 but soundblaster came out in 88, how is it part of the original toyline? This didn't even come out until the show was off the air.

I consider G1 to be the original line up of toys and the comics and show that accompanied it. Actiomasters and the Headmasters are new lines with new gimmicks so to me I wouldnt consider them G1, but the masses do. Like I said earlier its a non issue really but to each their own.

Which is the last ever G1 transformers cartoon produced.
Every Tf that was produced before the predators in 1992 was G1 and the predators and everythign afterwards (post 1992) was G2.
