Future Figure Idea...?

Weapon: Double Beam Guns
So, I heard recently (even though the news post is somewhat old) that there's a good chance of a Voyager Rhinox when they bring back the Universe/Classics line. This brings me hope that one of my dreams may come true-a show accurate, somewhat-in-scale Beast Machines Silverbolt.

What do you think the chances of this are? Would you want to see this happen?

(P.S: I'm new here so I'm sorry if this is in the wrong sub-forum.)

I am not sure what the chances are of a Rhinox is, but Hasbro is keeping the Generations (new universe/classics) line at deluxe size for the foreseeable future at least.

I know it's a long shot, but I'm still holding out for that Rhinox. And I wasn't sure if Generations was going to end up as the new Classics/Universe line (but I had a sneaking suspicion). Thanks for the clarification :)

Well, keep holding on. Personally, i'm hoping to see more WFC and G1 toys. Especially the Seekers.

Not that I wouldn't...I've already gotten WFC Bumblebee and Optimus Prime-they're great figures. But I grew up with BW/BM and have always been frustrated with the BM Silverbolt...

I agree that Beast Wars should get more recognition in the Generations line. It was a great series and the toys could use an update. I know they insisted on screwing up Dinobot and Cheetor for some reason, but I'd love to see that voyager Rhinox and hopefully a realistic Tarantulas. Only if they do it right though, no giving Rhinox a horn dagger and tail whip(oh how I hate tail whips)instead of those sweet gats he had in the series.

a show-accurate Rhinox would be great! I wouldn't mind all-new versions of most of the BW cast as they were at the end of the show (was the Dinobot not good? Cause if so, screw TM2 Dino and give us a Code of Hero version) and a few others, like TM Cheetor, TM2 Megs and Prime, Tigatron, etc.

I never really got into Beast Machines, so wouldn't be that worried about a BM Silverbolt myself. In fact, the show's kind of ignored by Hasbro a lot of the time, so I'd guess the chances are pretty low. BW Silverbolt would be cool though, with more articulation and eye-popping action to go with a new Blackarachnia's hip-swivel posing. I'd even lower myself to buying coconut-hard-hat wearing proto-humans if those two came in a box-set.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

I didn't think Dinobot was that bad...at least the Henkei version anyway. Cheetor looked pretty bad in robot mode though. I feel like Hasbro should start with characters without show accurate figures and go from there. It'd be great to introduce characters like TM2 Megs to kids these days but a lot of those figures already have decent toys.

Anyway. Now that I think of it, I suppose Hasbro doesn't talk about BM much. I don't know, in spite of how emo Silverbolt was in BM he's still one of my favorite characters. I also thought he had a pretty sweet design in BM.

EDIT: Oh, I didn't even think of a new BW Silverbolt. I guess I could settle for that. ;)

The Beast Era is great and they'll never forget that. We'll get homages sometime in the future, but I just don't see it right now. There isn't hope for a Beast Era revival until atleast past 2012.

In theory, they could be holding back with intentions to release an anniversary line en masse.

In theory, no. It's going to be another handful of years before the 20th Anniversary of Beast Wars.

'Cause some people have the audacity to not associate these guys with being in Generations yet. I'm also not 100% confident that Grapple will be in the movie-line when I was writing the article, so it might also be a Generations Voyager.

The same interview that talked about the Rinox also stated that not only does he want to make a Voyager Rinox but also a new Soundwave in the same line, Soundwave has come true so I'm pretty sure Rinox is in the works.

I wouldn't mind. The Beast Machines toys were crap and the characters deserve better.

Yeah, I'd love a 10th Anniversary for them...but I don't think they'd sell well.

And I think Hasbro would've said something by now...

Well, at a casual glance yes, they would've, but in actuality, they mentioned something in passing. I imagine that they don't want to commit themselves to a potential toy that's not past even in the rough draft phase of the drawing board. Remember they have to start making/designing these toys at least year in advance. So with the third movie coming out, I'm sure that they're firing all of their guns into cranking out those movie related toys for next year.

For now, if they're working on it, it is just in the early planing stages. We usually don't hear/see anything until a prototype from China makes it to ebay.

They also mentioned that they're making Kup, but they don't have a prototype even built yet.
