discovered a neat trick that worked in halo 1: if you beat the level halo it counts as if you beat the entire game at that level. Thanks for letting me skip cortana on heroic bungie!

I started playing this game at 10:30 PM.

It is now 1:45 AM.

How the hell did that happen? Suda51, I tip my hat to you.

Beat the Eighth Ranked Assassin, cut off her hand rather than killing her.

Then Destroyman...that guy has issues. Apparently a vaguely Sentai hero, he's got a huge streak of backstabbing going on, twice convincing Travis to drop his guard in favor of honor and respect, only to try and kill him both times, almost succeeding on the second try.

Then he pleaded for Travis's help, while Travis had the business end of the beam katana lodged firmly in Destroyman's chest. What should have been a killing blow only made Destroyman turn around and fire machines guns from his chest...which missed Travis entirely, allowing him to cut Destroyman in half, vertically.

PS Sylvia is hot.

GAME.OVER!
Since my last post, cleared the anime-themed "Super happy Fun Level" and then helped Marge clean up the "Grand Theft Scratchy" game, bringing down Poochy in the process. After this, was allowed entrance into the creator's home. Who is our creator, you ask? Easy, Matt Groening.
Too bad he's an evil genius bent on over marketing the simpsons (*explaining the many bad simpsons games out there). His defenders included a cadre of lawyers as well as special guest appearances by Cartoons of the Future (Bender and Zoidberg ). Defeated Mr. Groening but he then decided to set the game-engine to self-destruct. Grr...
Escaped the game engine but found the aliens were still destroying the city. Okay, new plan. Lisa uses her Buddha powers to build a tower to heaven. The simpsons then invade heaven, fighting all the enemies we killed throughout the game. Final boss battle is...
A DDR MATCH AGAINST GOD!
By out-dancing the almighty himself, caused his Sony Praystation, Microsoft XodusBox, and Nintendo I am to overheat and crash, causing the entire game to crash.
Finally found that the meaning of life is that "The planet earth" is God's true project and the Simpsons game is a mini-game within it. Ironically, the simpsons are characters in a mini-game played by characters in a real game who don't realize they're characters in a bigger game played by God Himself. It scored a 96 on Meta-meta-critic.
The final plot twist, Ralph Wiggum turns out to be playing the game where god plays the game where characters play the game the simpsons are playing in, only to realize that I'm playing the game where he's playing a game where God plays the games where characters play the game the simpsons are playing in. Whew.

For all it's faults (and there are many), this game is still a must-buy. The humor is top-notch simpsons, poking fun at every possible video game in-joke, character, and cliche it can think of. I was truly smiling throughout so much of this, despite fighting the controls and camera. Making a player enjoy a mediocre game is a triumph in itself.

As far as I know, never. Usually games are toned down for America. the other way around is just weird.

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow:
Went through the Dark Chapel. Killed Dmitrii, and absorbed his soul.

I also beat Malphas, and got the Double Jump. Unfortunately, the second jump doesn't go quite as high as it does in other games.

Beat the Zephyr in the Clock Tower...well, a Clock Tower, this isn't Dracula's Castle this time around.

Julius and Arikado and chasing down Celia. Meaning Alucard is working with another Belmont. Hey, Alucard, if you love Belmonts so much, why don't you marry them?! I think there's a fanfic for that.

No More Heroes:
Got to Rank 5. I did not actually fight the fifth ranked guy, because Henry pulled a kill steal.

While playing, I realized how sweet this game would have been as an anime. It worked well for Devil May Cry, I don't see why No More Heroes couldn't get the same treatment.

I also got the Tsubaki MK-II. Imagine a Lightsaber, but with five blades, all on one side. I also got the Technique of Crazy Awesomeness.

GAME OVER. the ending was translated better than the snes version.

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow:
BEATEN! And I got the good ending, where Arikado/Alucard figures that if the world really does need a Dark Lord, one will come about, even if it isn't Soma. I think a good sequel would be if that Dark Lord ends up being Alucard.

Now to try Julius Mode.

I don't think anyone did. I didn't even close the game when I played and beat it.

You know that part, right after the first missile turret I think, where there's a vent that you can't jump into, so you have to stack furniture? (Computer, office chairs, etc.) It took me no less than fifteen minutes before I figured I should use furniture.

I am now 95% certain that all bosses are somehow easier in this mode, even though I have no healing items, a shortage of weapons, and no Souls to use. I don't know how.

you have to put a portal on the ground and get the missle to shoot the tube that has a not-weighted companion cube in it. you use the cube to get into the vent

Trying New Game +. Wow, with everything I ended the last game with--Tsubaki MK-III, highest strength, longest combo, and all the Lovikov techniques--the early portions are shockingly easy. One wrestling move cut down almost half of Death Metal's health.

Also, somehow, I got over $500,000 out of that mission. Shopping spree!

More so, there won't be as much I'd need to waste money on; I've got everything from Naomi except the Power saver for the Tsubaki MK-III. So now I've got to find something to do with my boatloads of cash.

BEATEN! Defeated the Fruit F***er Prime, who was actually Yog Kathar, the God of Gears. Built just the same was as Yog Sethis, God of Silence in the last episode.

Two down, two to go. All know is that at once point I'll have to face Dr. Raven Darktalon Blood and another God named Yog Bamoun.

Far Cry 2
Started the game and worked through the tutorial, which consisted of me getting sick with malaria before my first mission, having to escape a town under seige, running an errand for my new employer by rescuing a girl named Flora, making her my new buddy. My boss paid me by showing me how to track diamonds in the wild.
Went back to the boss, was told where to get medicine for my illness. Following his instructions, went to Mike's bar to get new weapons and meet people. Earned a 2nd buddy for my trouble. No medicine but was given a secret tape to deliver. Went back to the first town (now under a cease fire), met a priest, gave him the tape, got my first batch of malaria pills. Now free to choose my path, I got a secret job from the AFLL leader to destroy a supply collection that his enemies were planning to use against him in a raid. Before I reached the mission point, Flora called with a new plan. Met her further sourth where she told me to go strongarm a communications person to give the APL (the AFLL's enemy) incorrect info. Raided the communications area to bully the guy, getting shot down in the process but rescued by my second buddy.
The incorrect info led to the APL to the supply depot, causing fighting between the two factions there. Using the battle as a distraction, snuck in and blew up the supply depot, accidentally blowing up a medicine truck in the process. Whoops...
Because of my mistake, Flora found herself under attack. Drove to her rescue and saved her. Took a quick nap to save my game.

Can you believe that was only the 2nd mission?
I'm loving this game so far. I've got the graphics maxed out and this thing runs smooth. One thing I'm annoyed at is my surprising ability to drive a vehicle into a place where it won't be able to get out of. For example, drove my jeep over a rock, ended up with my tail end vertical, and could not move the jeep because it was now considered wedged. This would be a minor inconvenience except it happened to me 3 times during one mission. I've walked more than I've driven at this point.

Patched the game today. Got one of the Halloween items, a pumpkin head that offers 30% protection against headshots. Man, the pumpkin headed guys look really cool when they're running around on fire.
