I know what you mean. But I loves my me FF1, so I'll play it again. I had to restart Link's Awakening about 6 times. But man, was it worth it!

On a whim, pulled this gem out and rocked out for a few hours. i don't know what's changed, but I've improved significantly for no apparent reason. Today alone I 5-starred "Black Magic Woman", "The Metal", and Anarchy in the UK.
Managed to clear a few songs I was unable to beat before too. Songs like "Impulse and Mauvais Garcon. None of this is exceptional but it's still more than I could do before.
Sadly, my improved skills are no use against "Before I forget", which still keeps me from the final tier in expert.

Beat "Before I forget" on expert in career mode. FINALLY!
Now I can name one song I'll never play again. There are difficult songs, but at least the others are fun. I am not a slipknot fan and this song will forever have a place of burning hatred in my heart.

Currently in Shy Guy Toy Box. Now my list of "allies" include a Boo. I know they're waiting for their time to strike. Get all buddy-buddy, get all cozy, then WHAM! Stabbed in the back!

Combat Arms [PC]:
I was playing a match and I killed this guy twice, headshots both times. The dude then accuses me of hacking. Ah, that takes me back to my Gunz days, you couldn't go a match without being accused of hacking, or actually seeing a hacker.

About 70% through Rank PFC.

Drift City [PC]:
Whattaloadabull. The 'Daily Mission' was the same for the last 3 days. I'm guessing it's the same today. And since the mission requires me to compete against my peers (who use RL$$$ for überskillz), I don't stand a chance. Meh, at least it's not important.

Finished the Level 62 mission in a single try. I love my new Corvette.

Resident Evil 4 [PC]:
Finished the Tomb Raider/Return to Castle Wolfenstein catacombs area. The mine cart fight was pretty cool. The section after it with the giant robot statue was retarded. At least Leon distance-shanked the little royal dude.

Reached the top of the tower, going inside to reach the destination now. I guess it's too late for Ashley. I'll soon find out.

Paper Mario:
Barely survived the Anti-Guy. While I won, I exhausted my entire supply of healing items, all I have left is two Syrups, and a fat lot of good that'll do me in a fight. My health and FP are low, too. And what's worse, is that I spent all my money on the Health items that I used up in that fight.

On the upside, I am only a few points away from level up. Next fight should do it.

Final Fantasy 1: Dawn of Souls [GBA]:
Party reached Level 10. Saved the Princess by sending some evil knight back to hell where he came from. The King had to bridge to the north rebuilt. Booyah. Spoke to the Queen, Jayne, who doesn't know how to thank me for saving her daughter, even though she's standing in her bedroom in front of her bed. Come on, lady, think.

On my way to the town to the west, where I'll beat the hell out of a group of pirates and earn a boat in the process.

Combat Arms [PC]:
Lag issues aside, I'm having a lot of fun. Made a new friend in-game, and together with another one of my buddies, we laid the smack down real hard on the enemy team.

Reached Rank of Corporal and can now buy 2 different weapons cases and a gas mask. I figured when I Beret and Goggles wear out, I'll get the +30 defence against headshots helmet, a gasmask so I don't get pwned by nerve gas anymore, and if I feel gambly, I'll buy one of the weapon case gamble items. Please please please be a 90-day MP5!

AAAAAAAGH! After all the time spent last night on an impossible song, loaded today to find it didn't save.
Took a couple of tries but I managed to eek out another 3-star (so far in the red one more note would have killed me). Made sure it saved this time.


Crysis: Warhead
GAME.OVER!
After securing the container, hoofed it past many, many tanks, fought more guys, and reached the control tower at the other end of the airstrip. Upon calling for my VTOL lift on the control tower's radio, suddenly felt things turn for the worse when an endless swarm of the aliens emerged from the sphere (see Crysis for details) and start ransacking the airfield.
Fought my way through them to a plane they shot down. the plane had been ferrying a new prototype weapon which I then acquired. Using said weapon, managed to utterly destroy a giant Alien walker unit by myself, clearing the game.
In the final cutscene, the KPA tried to hijack the container again but I managed to fight them off. Once in the air we saw an absolutely gigantic walker moving in. the KPA leader had been left unconscious on the airstrip (my doing, ) and woke up to see this enormous monster standing over him. REalizing his only weapon was a handheld tazer, I'm pretty sure he became the first soldier to stain a nanosuit.

Met up in-game with the friend I made earlier today. Joined his clan, laid the smack down on some more n00bs, got accused of hacking again ( ), and generally had a good time.

About 15% through the Rank of Corporal.

Baked a cake for a morbidly obese Shy Guy, and I didn't lie about it. I didn't gas him with deadly neuro-toxin, but only because I didn't have the option.

Now I'm on Lavalava Island, which, I'm pretty sure, is just Yoshi's Island. It looks the same from a distance, and one of it's inhabitants is Raphael the Raven, a boss from Yoshi's Island.

Teamed up with Jim "I Am Awesome" Raynor. Saved some guys on Mar Sara from the Zerg, but, of course, the overtook the planet. The Confederacy was unwilling to help out, and upon destroying an Infested Terran Command Station, Raynor as arrested. Arcturus Mengsk bailed us out, but, seeing as how he's part of a highly anti-Confederacy movement, I ended up losing my piece-of-shit Magistrate job, on a station so far out of the way it is actually titles Backwater, working for a government filled with douchebags, for a spot as Commander in an effective rebel group, filled with douchebags.

Now, on another planet, we've teamed up with Sarah Kerrigan, who I am sure will be a valuable asset to us forever and ever![/joke] We're going to have to face off with General Deuce--I mean, General Duke.

Also, me and my dad have been making a lot of jokes about the 1990's for the past couple of days.

Now I'm a Zerg! The Overmind seems a helluva lot nicer to his Cerebrates than Mengsk ever was to his guys. And when I think about it, that's kind of funny, in multiple ways. (One being that they spent the entire Terran Campaign making the Zerg out to be inhuman monsters, and the other, Kerrigan)

FF1: Dawn of Souls [GBA]:
Beat up the pirates, got the ship. Just going to level and explore a bit. Maybe buy some new gear/spells from Elfheim.

Doom [GBA]:
Went though the first 4 or so levels. Got the chainsaw. Beat a level using only the chainsaw. Gibtastic fun.

No, really. Kerrigan wants to undo her Ghost programming, so she can mess up some Terran faces better. So she and some Zerg entered a Terran science vessel to do that.

Zergling Rush:
1. When a large number of Zergling swarm an enemy or group of enemies, tending to result in large damage, despite the Zergling's individual frailty.
2. When everyone at Zergling University tries to get into a frat house. (I pledged Sigma Delta Zasz)
3. When a Zergling eats too much candy.
4. A Rush cover band, composed of Zergling.

Currently working with the United Earth Directorate to overthrow Mengsk...ugh, I spent all that time putting him into power, now I have to take it away? Could I have just saved all that time and just kicked him in the nads?

Currently hunting the jackass down on Aiur, which, in case you didn't know, is the Protoss homeworld.

Gears of War
haven't been playing too much. mostly just half-hour spurts. Currently just reached the junker vehicle at the gas station after working my way through the darkness avoiding the Kryll. It says a bit when my first death to the Kryll came while my guy was on the phone before the game even warned me the darkness was dangerous.

Star Fox 64:
And here's my dosage of nostalgia for the day.

On my first run-through. I think I may have gotten better when I stopped playing. I actually beat Aquas without losing a life. I think it may be the Gamecube controller, and the use of L and R. Although the C-stick really doesn't help here.

EDIT: Wasted all those 1ups I got doing well in other missions on Star Wolf, Venom version. Lost the last one fighting Andross, and I didn't even get to his second form.

StarCraft: Brood War:
Part way into the Zerg Campaign. Samir Duran sold out the UED, and now he's working for Kerrigan. He also sounds suspiciously like Ricardo Montalban, who played Khan in Star Trek.

FF4 advance: now hunting the weapons in the final dungeon, going with the classic team of Cecil, Kain, Rosa, Rydia, and Edge.

Halo 3: made it to the storm on normal. Not ready for solo Legendary... yet.
