I felt a disturbance in the flatulence upon your disappearance.

A vastly underrated game, I must say. I had a fun time with it. Kinda wish there were more time zones to play through though.

When I play Medic, more often than not I find the needle gun and Blutsauger aren't effective, usually because if something killed whatever I was healing, (Typically a Heavy, which would have 450 constantly-regenerating HP) it's going to make short work of me. (A medic with 150 slowly regenerating HP)
I do have the Medic's hat, though, the only one I've obtained so far. (It's random, by the way, there's a 0.5% chance of getting one per minute)
And you're not on my Steam list. So I just added you.

Basically, you'd leave it on and hope that you'd get some new gear due to that randomly-giving-equipment thing o' theirs. I never tried it and I'm not sure if they cracked down on it or not.

I dunno about that, but the popular method (At least before they brought back Milestones) was to start a server, spawn, then wait. Perhaps go to work, or school, or what have you. Most people end up making their servers kick anyone who tries this, typically because it makes them take a player slot that could go to someone who actually wants to play the game.

Yep, that's the method, though the one time I tried it I came up empty. People complained that they couldn't get the new weapons because this was too much work, ignoring that A) It's a game and B) only rarely is an unlockable weapon superior to the original. (The Medic's equipment, the Flare Gun, Cloak and Dagger)

Cleared level 5, which brings the first episode to a close. Having fun with this game though only playing one level at a time to strive off my need for more indepth gameplay.
I also have the say I don't think I've ever seen a boss as big as the Necrogiant before. He dwarfs the Cyberdemon in Doom III. I'm talking big. So big that most of my grenades missed him because I kept underestimating his size and thinking I was closer than I really was.

Just got the second key card and the RC Missile. I'm sure I'll get to shoot a giant robot with it, this IS Metal Gear after all.

I'm really glad they made this version available. The original NES version had a few inconsistencies in the story—like being able to beat the game without even destroying Metal Gear. Though, the NES version had catchier music.
