Last I knew we were on HMW 1.8 with the elusive 2.0 always down the road. Did we ever find 2.0 or is it still a pipe dream?

a pipe dream. The site is no longer devoting creative resources to the game. It's just essentially waiting for the game to die out, then it'll probably remove it altogether.
