All good points for why g.i. joe is changing and I thought the convention exclusive set included viper's with the repaired hands. I'm still not wowed by that set unlike some of the ones from past conventions like the 2004 G.I.Joe Convention: dreadnok set which was a amazing set which included all of dreadnoks and dreadheads in one package.

I heard a rumor that before they go forward the plan is to redo all the previous sets, you may get your Dreadknock set again.

Well I hope if they do redo the 2004 set that they update it to include the entire zartan family including his daughter.

The official word for the convention sets is that they let the collectors club gauge what people want and then see what they can work with.

The Crimson strike team was well received when it came out previously and there was some fan push for it in the new figure style. That said there was a huge push for international figures that is the main reason for the other convention figures.

The one problem with that is that fans were realing asking for Action Force characters and Red Shadows. Seeing that on Sunday morning (The last report from a poster of the Joe Canuck Forum made) stated that every set was still available except the set that sold out the first day. That set was the Action Force Chopper with Blades.

It is possible that the Dreadnok set could be made but remember every figure done for the sets this year were redecos from the 25th line. (the main set is just recolor Vipers, recolor Twins, and a baroness recolor with a switch to a movie head)It is improbable that they would do the 'noks if they need to create new molds just for them. And honestly with the success of Blades (and fan demand for Quarrel)it is possible they might simply look at doing more Action Force vs Shadows set, due to the requests for them.

Well whatever happens it all good, since I really don't see spending the kind of money it would take to get non-attendance version of the set, since unless somehow joecon makes way to the west coast somewhere close to seattle then I might go just to see what it is like but I'm not that into traveling just to goto a convention for three days.

I remember a backlash against the set as most members of the CC don't like the 25th line molds especially since the club has said they would continue exclusively with the vintage style. I'd like the attendee sets but not at a premium price.

The club did say they were going to stay with the old RAH style, but Hasbro is overruling them.

The said quite clearly this weekend that a good number of old molds are unusable and that they have given orders to their factories to not hold on to their O-rings.

I know Hasbro said that Canada will be getting all the store exclusives (who knows when) but have you seen any word if we get all the basis waves of figures?

Just trying to figure out if I should wait or grab a helix off eBay.

Wait, hold up, Helix is an exclusive?

Last I heard about exclusives is that they need retailers to jump on board to carry the exclusives, or something like that. But hey, people've been seeing those Tiger Force/Python Patrol jets at Zellers, so I guess something's working.

Not sure if the single-carded movie exclusives'll make it here. I've never seen them.

No helix is a regular wave figure, Hence why I'm wondering if we are suppose to get all of the waves.

When the figures first shipped we had them the same time as the states, but it's clear that they are getting figures at retail we aren't seeing.

In my area, it's mainly crap sales. I see the first half of wave 1 ["collection 1 series 1," or whatever they called it] and they aren't really moving. Sure hope we so those damn Pit Commandos soon.

It also depends on the store as well here in the states toy r us is already up wave 3 and that is as far as we have gotten although some people are reporting finding parts of wave 4 like paris pursuit bareness. Agent Helix is part of wave 3 so just keep a look out for her she is a very popular figure much like the pitt commando and cobra commander seem to be. I just looked up action force and I love what the canada guys code name is beaver, wow would I have loved have been at that writers meeting were they came up with it.

They likely didn't have a clue when they named him. As for other Canadians.

You're both right. She was supposed to have the movie head but obviously she didn't. If Hasbro is telling factories to loose the o-rings expect to see some Joe KO's coming soon.
