Without any clue what the next 12 figures will looklike, and seeing that people on BBTS have already put a number of the single pre-orders into sold-out status, I have just placed my pre-orders for the two 6 figure wave packs.
Here's to hoping we've got some good figs in these waves.

I'm kinda disappointed by the quality because it's not a heavy stock cover or paper. The paper feels like old comic newsprint. It almost feels like a Marvel Annual from that era.
However, I'm still happy to have it in the collection because who knows when or if IDW will reprint these comics.

Is this a new Marvel release or one that is of the era?

It was published in 1993. It's weird that they would collect it years later, which makes me think it's a Generation 2 tie in.

There a few GI Joe/Transformers back ups? Any links to more info? This is the first time I've heard of it.

Well, there were 2 Marvel Transformers/G.I. Joe crossovers: the one in the trade which had Bumblebee get destroyed and something about Cobra Island and Serpentor, and the the TF G2 crossover in the early '90s with the g.i. joe featuring SNAKE-EYES comic. Megatron gets rebuilt as a tank, etc.

Supreme Convoy wrote:It looks like Step up and Justin Beiber: Never Say Never's director Jon Chu is directing GI Joe 2. While it does seem insane, keep in mind that Stomp the Yard's Sylvain White directed The Losers, which was a great action movie.
Perhaps they'll cast Justin Beiber as Serpentor.
