I got my second shipment of Sigma 6 figures today. Arctic Snake Eyes, Frontal Assault Duke, and Zartan. I only wanted Zartan but it was cheaper to get this set.

Has anyone ever noticed that there is some deep hatred among fans for Duke? I don't get it, he's the man. Did I miss something?

Damn it! That sounds like it is all kinds of funny. Stupid Dial up. By the by 411 mania is reporting that Sadie Frost has been cast as the female lead in GI Joe. They didn't say it out right but all signs point to her being the Baroness. They also were reporting that the team will be based out of Brussels and that Destro will be the head of Cobra.

Like He-Man and Skeletor of the 2002 MOTU toy line, there are too many figures of that one character. What about the rest of the GI Joe team? There were other characters that filled the boots of the outfits Hasbro has put on the Duke figures (RAH and Sigma Six). That was the thing about the GI Joe toys of the 80s, there were all these specialists on both sides of the battle. You had heavy machine gunners (Rock & Roll, Roadblock, Heavy Duty), communications (Breaker, Dial-Tone), etc.

Sadie Frost is a member of PETA and a vegetarian. I'm not sure if PETA is against leather or not. If so, and Sadie is being considered for the character, then I don't see the Baroness wearing tight leather as she should. And many GI Joe fanboys will be robbed of a fantasy. Though a PVC or latex rubber outfit would be acceptable :grin:

Looking at other pics of her other than the PETA nudie shot, she could be Scarlett or Lady Jaye.

I never thought it was leather in the first place. I just figured it was Cos-playing fan-girls trying to get attention.

The thing is Hasbro has already come out and said that none of this is true and things will be the way they should. I could go into a rant about how Hasbro treats the Joe property better than Transformers but I'm to tired.

Speaking of which I opened the Wave 2 Cobra trooper and thought he was ok. I was glad that his gun was repainted, and he had new web gear, but then again that's bad because as a troop builder they should all look the same. The figure was surprisingly loose in the knee and ankle joints but not to the point he couldn't hold a pose. His helmet is much tighter than on the previous trooper and Commander figures which is ok I guess. Personally I don't understand the need for this figure since once the Vipers were introduced they quickly replaced the Cobra Trooper. Heck the last time I saw them was in the beginning of "GI Joe: The Movie." I can only recommend him if you do troop building.

anywho, I found Beachhead(thing crotch piece), and the Cobra Legions pack at Target today. Decided to pick both of them up. Left Ripper, Cobra Trooper, Shipwreck, Stalker, and the GI Joe hanging on the shelves.

Well something must be wrong in the water at my place since I dropped my Sigma 6 Zartan breaking the peg to his crossbow off in the port on his back. The only hope I have of getting the peg out and fixing the crossbow is using super glue and gluing the two parts together while the peg is still in his back. I did this once for a Toynami MP armor missile that broke off in my VF-1S so it should work; I hope. Anybody else find it funny that on the main page when they posted a news brief on the GI Joe movie it turned into an anti US anti Joe rant? We already know that it will be called GI Joe all over the world and that the team will be based in the US so it doesn't pay to bitch about it.

I saw Scarlett, SS, and CC, in stock but only ordered SS and CC because Scarlett was not in stock by the time I logged on. :-x

I have these figs in the 5-pack but Im getting them in singles because I like the card art.

So today I popped open the Cobra Legions set today and discovered a few things. First, Storm Shadows' Bow and the Air troopers gun and normal helmet are in a baggie behind the podium with the figure stands. The card file for the vehicle driver is the same for the Cobra Officer. Finally The Trooper bio is different than the Cobra... The Enemy one.

Big surprise is that on the printed insert besides Tomax and Xamot over to the left are Destro, The Baroness, and the poet laureate of action figures; Major Bludd. I do believe we can officially move him over to the "Coming Soon" column.

Wow didn't see that one. I'll have to look more closely. By the by the old Stinger driver who the Vehicle driver is based on had the same exact bio card so I guess vehicle drivers are officers.

If they do retool him they'll probably do a redeco as well so gloves are a possibility. The only ones I know that will be retooled without a redeco will be the box set figures. I know this because Destro will still have crap hands. By the by I opened Lady Jaye and watch out; her wrists don't rotate. Kinda disappointed since that means she can't hold her spear well like on the card or toon.

Well I've pretty much found quite a bit of 25 anniv GI JOEs the past few days with the Christmas Shopping season going on. Still no Flint but I've used this as an opportunity to get more Cobra grunts, though I usually leave with no more than 2 of each kind to give others a chance. They've been restocking at my Wal Mart and Target daily.

If they do a retool of Flint I'd say keep the Flint you have in the package, he'll be worth more, especially since he'a alreayd hard-to-find, and I fail to see why he should be since they have an over-abundance of hooded CC's SS's, and SE's.

The unmasked soldier is hidden by the Cobra trooper and can only be seen once the tray is removed. In the GI Joe comic Cobra Commander was a normal human and had a son named Billy who tried to kill him. I do believe that is Billy. Perhaps we will be getting a Billy figure?

Hey everyone I took the Air Trooper out of the Cobra Legions box tonight and I should tell you his helmet does not come off. I tried three times to remove it and the whole head just came off the ball joint. One can assume that the spare helmet in the box is to change the new Cobra Trooper into an officer since it has an officer marking on the helmet.

Actually Chuck, the helmet does come off. I have 2 of the Air Troops and the helmets come off just fine on mine. Ain't nothing but a regular bald headed cobra trooper underneath.

I actually took off one of the heads and replaced it with an extra Cobra Commander head. Looks pretty cool with a silver head.

AND, if any of you guys collect Star Wars figs and have any extra Boba Fett jet pack flame accessories, they fit PERFECTLY on the air troop's jet pack, making it look like the troop is taking off with flames underneath.

OK, so what am I doing wrong with my Air Trooper since I can't get his helmet off? Perhaps I have a variant that the helmet is glued in place?

On the question of the 5 packs I assume that any one of the Cobra sets with Storm Shadow in his traditional ninja gear is rare since all I see now are the Wave 1 SS in the action set.

Each figure from the battle packs is getting an individual carded release as well. Just got the joe and cobra set on cards (Wave 4, I think).

My Air Trooper's helmet stuck too. When it was off I think I tried popping the head out, or when I stuck it back on I tried a slightly different angle, tried to work the helmet off individually.
