Speaking of Hiss drivers, did anybody else get Rip It and Steeler from the club exclusives? (Limited 500)

They are pretty cool!

That wave looks really good. I think that version of Snake Eyes is my favorite. I don't know, I just really like the crossed chest knives, and other gear...

Hiss Driver (SHould be Rip It) looks nice, and will have many repaints I am sure.

Like the Viper, and again will get repaints galore.

Wild Bill is fantastic! I think this is the best Wild Bill I have seen. I'm not a big fan of the character, even though he has been the helicopter pilot (love copters), but this version may have sold me on him.

Spirit's colors seem a bit off. I like the fact that his clip is removable, but I really think the color pallette needs some work.

And Duke is by far my least favorite of the group. Very bland and boring...uninspired to me, it seems. :-?

I'm already tired of seeing Duke... why didn't they release Grand Slam (in silver) with the jetpack instead? It would have been so easy to do, just a new head sculpt for Grand Slam, using Flash's body. Grarrgh.

If you buy the Sharc, you will have your Grand Slam (Flash repaint), and then, you can put your Duke's backpack on him, but yeah, it would have been nice if they did him in a card pack with the jet pack instead... :???: Some choice are a little...odd to say the least.

I like Wild Bill and the Hiss driver too.

Do we really need another Snake Eyes and Duke?
Why not concentrate on other characters??

Today I went on a little bit of a toy run, just because I hadn't been out in a while and just got paid this week ;) I found some comic packs: Destro & Breaker, and the Dreadnocks! They're all pretty good, I can forgive the excessive reuse of parts for these guys.

Breaker has a chewing bubble gum bubble that you can attach to the mic of his headset! At first I was like, "WTF is this for?" until I remembered that he was always chewing gum in the comic. Hasbro got some bonus points for that inclusion :) Destro's head is getting swapped with the 5-pack version. Other than the dark purple, his colors aren't too bad. But still.

I just wish Hasbro would have used a better quality hose for Ripper's jaws of life, and something entirely different for Torch's torch gun! I'll end up modding both of those guys. I think I have some of that old skool Joe accessory hose laying about somewhere. I'm glad the jaws of life actually open and close.

I just don't want the additional Duke figure just to get the jetpack #-o A good idea though. Maybe I should reword my request... Hasbro ought to release the orange padded and black gloved Grand Slam with the jetpack. (Yeah, I forgot about the GS included with the SHARC! ;))

I just saw the picks for the new figures and I'm not sure if any of you have caught this but the Duke with the jet pack is a tribute to the opening of GI Joe the movie. This version of Snake Eyes is a take off of the first and only Snake Eyes I had as a yoot. I hope to God that those knives on his chest are removable. Wild Bill; the best. Real cowboy up there. I kinda wish that they would take these designs and up size them to the 9 inch Sigma size. Speaking of which I happened upon TRU today and visited the Joe section. Besides the Land Sea Air set which is basically a shelf warmer now they had ONE figure from the Commando line. LT. Torpedo who is basically a repaint of Sea Ops Duke complete with Switchfires and undersea cruiser. I was also floored when I saw three of the 25th figures on pegs and one (Shipwreck) on a separate shelf. The three pegged were Cobra Commander, Crimson Guard, and Sub Zero. What I like about Zero and the Crimson Guard is that they come with revolvers; sweet.

Yeah, it's Duke from the opening of the animated GI Joe movie... but still, it's another damn Duke figure :BANG_HEAD: It was getting ridiculous with all the Dukes in the previous 3¾" line. Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow were also starting to get overdone, but they have a better chance of selling through than Duke.

I hope SE3's knives do come off his chest! I remember getting that figure when it was new, and other than the silly head mold, absolutely loving that SE figure. He was my favorite. I used to wish those knives came off his chest, but of course that was a different time in toys.

Wouldn't that cause frostbite? Seriously though for the life of me I couldn't remember his name but there ya go.

Personally I think they need to make MORE Duke figures. The problem is that they're not making the right ones. Spice Girl Groupie Duke, Ninja Duke, 12 steps Duke, Getting over Scarlett Duke. The possibilities are endless.

If the opening of GI Joe the movie doesn't leave you with a lump in your chest wanting to kick some random terrorist ass check your pulse; you be dead!

Your first Snake eyes was his third incarnation correct?

It seems that the most popular incarnation for snakes with fans is his second one. In the new Image and DDP comic series that is the suit that he most frequently seems to use.

Yeah that seems about correct. Incidentally which version was the one featured in the cartoon since I always liked that one more; then again I couldn't tell the difference.

Yeah... being in a blizzard on an iceberg with such a bad wind chill could give you frostbite. But that's nothing when the cold front comes in with a snow storm.

;)

Snake-Eyes' third outfit was the result of kicking the crap out of his three torturers, and stealing parts of their outfits in order to not be half-naked when making his escape from the Baroness. I think this was in like issue 93 or so of the original comic run. Actually, he might have killed at least one of those guys...

In the cartoons, I think Snakes had his original (1982) outfit for the first few episodes, the TV movies that came out on DVD before the series was released (their names escape me). Then he wore his second action figure's outfit in the later episodes. Not sure about the DIC series since I never really watched that.

I'm quite interested in a Firefly Vs. Green Shirts pack, and the Crimson Cobra Leaders pack.

How is Firefly considered a troop builder (looking at that listing)? I'll pass on the CC with Cobra and Officer set, but the other two look alright. I hate getting another Duke, though. I'll probably keep his parts for custom fodder, not that I have any ideas. And why hasn't Hasbro fixed the waist pieces on all the upcoming figures? Sheesh. At least Stalker was fixed, I have to find him now since I stupidly opened my green Stalker with the older waist piece.

But, LOL @ calling Grunt a "senior ranking officer." Hello, his code name is "Grunt," he's an infantryman. Unless I missed something in the Joe comics, he's always been a soldier, not an officer. Except for the time when he retired to get his degree at Cal Tech or wherever it was.

Awesome, I can finally get me a light blue battle mask CC. The black one is nice, but the blue is where it's at.

Plus it comes with a piece of Mass Device Crystal? Sweet shenanigans!

Now, if only the red ninja weren't just Storm Shadow Repaints, and didn't come with Snake-eyes.

How many Cobra Commanders does one need? Couldn't they at least give the set with him and his troopers parkas for the Mass device series when they went to arctic.

Like the SE with parka, the C Nightwatch are cool...

Need to see Firefly vs. Greenshirts. :-(

What about the long awaited and never before made Cobra Commander with removeable mask, helmet and face plate that is in reality his son Billy? I'd buy the figure again even if the only difference was remolded headgear and a new head for Billy. Also I'd kill for a single pack Baroness. They just made her in the first Cobra 5 pack set right? The Wave 2 Comic 2 Pack I'm most looking forward to is Tomax and Xamot.

Mostly I'm hoping for more Dreadnoks. I got my Wave 1 and 2 Comic 2 pack set today and I was stoked to get Ripper and Torch. All 4 original Dreadnoks are now mine. I'm hoping for a Comic 2 Pack Zandar and Zarana. And for the love of Not God make Zanya!

As for troopers I want, I'm hoping they make Alley Viper, Range Vipers, Televipers, SAW Vipers, and the original design B.A.T.s. I'm looking forward to Major Bludd even though he's pushed back to Wave 8. And I'm hoping they make Blackout the Sniper. And they should make Dr. Mindbender in his original uniform.
