Damn! Wave after after wave, these figs keep getting better. But there are sooooo many repeats. I feel like I would have to quadruple dip on Dukes, Snake Eyes, and Cobra Commanders just to pick up certain figs and troop builders. These just keep getting crammed down our throats. I agree with most of the board that it would make more sense to release new figs with the troop builders rather than rehash the same molds over again. Or at least give us one more trooper or ninja. Nonetheless, Hasbro's got my cash and I'm happy to see that there will be a Flint in the appropriate attire, albeit Tiger Force. 86 Roadblock and Major Bludd will be my picks of wave 4, but where's my General Hawk? We have the comic 2-pack Hawk and the upcoming commanding officers Hawk, but I want General Hawk. Now I'm weary about opening certain figs, if said figs will be rerelaesed in either troop builders or multi packs.

I made my first 25th ann. figure purchase yesterday when I saw Duke for the first time outside of the the set. I don't think I'm going to open it but just looking at it here on the card make me want to go get the rest of them.

Just for your 411 guys but BBTS has wave 7 and 8 of the 25th anniversary line up for preorder. I hate to say this but it's 2008; the anniversary is over. By the by you have all heard that they've discontinued the 8" line for now?

I know that most of you are tired of the Duke figures but how about one that features a gimmick similar to the one he had in Sigma 6 with the Switchfires? I think that would make a cool transition down to the 4" line.

No thank you. Duke was never one of my cartoon favorites, although in America's Elite I like him more.

Are you saying you want them to stop doing 25th Anniversary style sculpts and packaging?

Firefly himself isn't a troop builder ;) I hate when a "troop builder" set is released with a figure that is simply not a troop one builds their collection with. It's irritating...

I think he meant that the actual 25th anniversary date has past. Which is true, but I suppose the line is too new to limit the 25th logo to a few waves. :???:

And I agree about Duke. I think Hasbro is taking pointers from Mattel's Master of the Universe line... definitely not a good thing! I don't want Ballerina Cobra Commander or Fancypants Duke.

I bought the corrected-crotch Stalker the other day. So much better. Why the hell didn't Hasbro think of this before the line was tooled? #-o

I've got Shipwreck, Buzzer ,and blue Snakeeyes versus Stormshadow comic pack. Wish I have gotten Crimson guard ,and beige variant Snowjob {would of prefer the white one but there weren't any} the other day before. I had them both in my hand too. When I went to get them two days later they were all gone. All black with eye googles Snakeeyes, Stalker, Buzzer and Shipwreck sold quick too. Hoodie Cobra Commander is a peg warmer. Didn't see the others yet in single packaging. Saw the wave one 5 packs of both G.Ijoe and Cobra but didn't felt like paying 30 bucks for each. They all were there still. There were comic packs too. Didn't see the Torch and his fellow aussie biker buddy. Wanted that one. Didn't see the crimson twins either. Which I also want.

First what I meant about Duke is having him come with two Switchfire type pistols that could combine with larger shell weapons. I'm really disappointed that the modular combat concept wasn't passed down to the $" line. About the 25th line I just think since the 25th anniversary has passed they need to change the name of the line like they did with Classics. Just me being picky is all.

I found Beach Head at Target on Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw. There were at least 2 left after I got mine.

Kennesaw is a little too far from me, plus by the time I got there they would probably be whipped out. I’m having as hard a time finding some of these as I did the movie figures. The only time I ever saw Firefly was at the TRU on Atlanta highway and it was choice between him and 08 BB…

I've seen plenty of Firefly's in my area. Roswell and North Point have had plenty in all their stores. To be quite frank, I've seen more Firefly's than I've seen 08 Bumblebees.

Today I picked up two more Cirmson Guard's and the clerk said everyone's been buying the 25th Anniv toyline. I asked him about the Dreadnok 2 pack and he says they may have had one sold earlier today but he's not sure.

According to Joesitings.com DEVIL'S DUE was not able to renew the GI Joe comicbook license.

Frontrunners for the new licensee are Marvel, and IDW.

Nothing official yet, just a bit of a rumor.

I'd take IDW over Marvel for obvious reasons. If I were Hasbro I would not trust Marvel with the comic due to it's EIC. But we'll find out what the verdict is on whether Devils Due keep the liscence.

Just an FYI guys, I have a hunch that there might be a Crimson Gard variant on their file cards. Some will say Accountant as their secondary specialty while others will say Lawyers. Did get all my Joe figures so I'm caught up in that regard. Hawk is OK but they're using the old Snake Eyes mold from the 5 pack and not the fixed mold that's being used for the Black Commando. Destro is just a repaint and I'm kinda peeved that they gave him two guns and neither one is the laser gun he's been pictured with over the years. Breaker is double packing the .45's; nice. Scarlet's molded gun is painted the same yellow as her costume, shoddy work there. I like the comics since it's a real throw back to the 80's. I haven't checked out any of the other ones yet but I'll keep ya abreast; heck, I'll keep ya athigh even.

The Force.

Seriously though I just have this gut feeling since they made a point to mention the fact that the Guard were either Accountants or Lawyers.

The yellow Stalker was more of a mistake than a variant like the black Timber, shark tattoo, and whatever else has sprung up. I think it was something to do with the first factory samples that Hasbro got, and they didn't like it so they asked for a color change.

I've seen comic packs with Scarlet & Hawk that have the corrected crotch piece for Hawk. I'm waiting for Hasbro to also fix Scarlet, but I somehow doubt they will. I passed up a single-carded Scarlet the other day, kind of wish I had gotten her now. I already have the 5-pack, but I would have kept her carded.

Hasbro really needs to get this series into proper distribution. They're too damn hard to find everywhere I go. A re-release of the first few lines would be acceptable, as long as it's not something stupid along the lines of 5x Snake-Eyes with Timber, 5x Storm Shadow II, and 1x Cobra Officer...
