Are you serious? The bigger scale TF toys use thicker plastic than the smaller scale TF toys. so by default the plastic used is stronger.
No, that means you're simply using more plastic.
Tsutsukakushi wrote:Rated X wrote:Granted a larger size means more room to work with when adding details, but I believe igear faith leader proved MP molds CAN be made in a smaller scale. The whole idea that something must be big to be crowned the term "masterpiece" is pure opinion. Big figures are cool for a kid to play with, but kind of unrealistic to build a cartoon accurate cast of characters. So exactly how big would an MP Omega Supreme be in comparison to MP-10 ? How about an MP Metroplex ? Its getting to the point where bigger is getting stupid. If the smallest characters keep getting bigger, then where does that leave the biggest characters in terms of scale ? Classics was the last realistic scale to collect a cartoon accurate cast of almost ALL G1 characters. Anything bigger is is nothing more than a coffee table centerpiece.
Your Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder with your TF toys is not healthy.
Neither is yours.
The thicker plastic on most of HasTaks leader sized & Supreme sized TF toys is stronger. because it use more layers of plastic. than the thinner less layered plastic used on most of HasTaks legends, commanders & deluxe sized TF toys. It is much harder to try to break a piece of plastic on a HasTak leader scale or supreme scale TF toy piece of plastic compared to a smaller scale TF toy plastic. It's just much easier to break a piece of plastic on a legends, commanders or deluxe sized TF compared to a much bigger TF toys plastic.
Trust me,I have less OCD TF issues than most online fans do. The older I get the less I care & the less I buy. The more I get rid of. If I am not playing with something,I'd rather sell it off & make someone else enjoy it more than I can.
I have a few display shelves,I mix & match different TF toy lines on the same shelf. I don't have extreme OCD issues with my TF display shelves. I don't get overly frustrated or bent out of shape when HasTak or 3rd paties don't make newer TF toys to be catered towards my display shelves scale or designs.
I don't set any over the top OCD strict rules for myself in this hobby. That I must follow. Often times I will throw out the rules book, wing it & have no rules.
I set the bar really low for newer HasTak toys, movies, cartoons & comics. This way I won't get overly disappointed.
I try to budget my money wisely. I'm not prepared to spend thousands per year on this hobby,no matter how much money I make at work. I realize they are just pieces of plastic. I realize,Life is short & I have more impotrant things to buy besides toys.
When posting on forums, less is always more. Just because TF toys or whatever don't go your way this doesn't give you the excuse or right to troll the forums with fits of rage & overly obnoxious rude comments. Runnning in & out of threads on all the forums wasting my day venting about TF stuff or whatever not going my way isn't something I care to partake in. Trying to force others & insult them for not buying stuff I like is something I'll never do.
This not quite correct. Depending on the episode the Dinobots were either FT or GP sized when compared to Optimus. The difference between the two 3P releases is that GP has picked an episode scale and run with it where as FT has followed Takara's lead and used the official scale chart, and added the boots to get Grimlock to the height he is in the chart. Another glaring difference is that Scoria is very show accurate with both dino and bot modes (again following Takara's lead) where this is more toy accurate.Gauntlet101010 wrote:mooncake623 wrote:So this Snarl looks much larger than Fanstoys Slag? looks like it.. hm... interesting. So Fanstoys Slag is not really cartoon accurate?
Bear in mind, int he cartoon Grimlock is over a head taller than Prime, so MP Grimlock is not really cartoon accurate. FT Slag is nearly accurate to Grimlock (although slightly too large; it comes with parts to prop Grimmy up).
william-james88 wrote:So that would also be the case for Predaking, who is also six members.

So I decide to do some painting myself. Enjoy! and let me know what you think!
From what I've gathered, Gigapower's Mp Snarl is taller and wider than the Fan toys' Scoria and it follows the scale of the original Carton character.

GiGaPower
Greeting Transformer fans:
My name is ke, one of the GIGAPOWER team members. First of all, I’d like to take the opportunity to thank all the people that has been following our first release of Dinobots, Snarl. We are a third party company as you all know. Our objective is to deliver a fine quality product at acceptable price.
Recently we released the latest prototype of GIGApower snarl. We have noticed there are several concerns regarding the alt mode design, our original thought was to closely follow the G1 concept with concentrating on the robot mode, and try to reach a balance between the robot mode and alt mode. In the last couple of days we have learned that our alt mode design has not reach some of your expectations. Even though we have already started the modeling process with the manufactory, but we have decided to possibly redo the design or modify the current design to suit your aesthetic. This may set us back quite a bit, but no matter how long it takes, we will try our best to meet your expectation. Hopefully, it will also provide us a valuable lesson in designing the rest of the Dinobots. We welcome criticize, and we are currently collecting them and our designer and engineers are working hard day and night to come up with a better design.
These are what we have collected so far:
1. The lower body to tail section is too steep
2. The back hunch/arch a bit too much
3. The back legs, (this is the part that we need more opinions) are they too straight?
4. The head is too small
5. The robot mode has no toes.
If you have good suggestions, please feel free to post here or even better include a picture with colored lines for us to see your ideas.
I will be providing updates and monitoring this thread from now on and work together with you guys, thanks advance for your time and efforts.
P.S. English is my second language, please excuse me if I failed to express my thoughts clearly. Most of our team members are in mid 30s. we all grow up watching G1, and we love what we do.
Also feel free to show your digibash here.

Finally, we have the redesign finished, but there is still going to be some time for modifying some files for the molding process to resume, but it shouldn't take long. The modification can be see clearly from the following two pictures. Now our out-snarl (official name coming out soon) HAS FEET. The robot mode is only being slightly modified. I actually like the new version of robot mode better.
"Not see again either, because we dino-might them to pieces!"
