Hollyweird rarely ever gets it right. I'm boycotting this typical Bay train wreck. I've never cared for Bay or any of his film. Honestly I've never paid to watch any of his films at the cinema ,or own any of Bay's dvds. I'm happy I got my whole g1 set along with the orginal movie.

Well said. Kind of like saying someone doesn't like Aliens because James Cameron is rude to his cast.
Spacer, judge the movie on its content, not on the people who make it. To do otherwise is simply silly.

Spacer, I'm glad you enjoy G1. Check back in after a couple months when we start seeing more of the Hasbro MP Starscream or maybe more classic-style toys after the Cartoon Network Project gets into full swing.
As for the movie, and Hasbro banking on the film to do well... it's going to do well. The worst it could possibly do is an opening weekend domestic gross of $65 million, and the record for the 4th weekend is only $88 million. It is actually plausible to consider TF could break that record.
Whether any of the other Hasbro properties will actually translate into a broad multi-platform movie success remains to be seen. GI-Joe seems tame compared to TF, and I wouldn't go see a Monopoly movie if you paid me. Maybe they'll revive some of their dormant properties, like Battle Beasts, instead.

Autobot032 wrote:Aren't Battle Beasts tied into TransFormers in some capacity? And I mean besides the faction rubsign. I might be incorrect, but something gave me the impression that they were somehow linked. (It was on the 'net, and for the life of me I can't remember where it was. Toyarchive perhaps.)
Anywho, if so...then a potential movie of Battle Beasts might do well, considering TF is expected to do well. (Although I remember BB, and I didn't care for them one bit.)
Kranix-76 wrote:Off-topic as all hell, but that might be this side of amazing. And by "amazing," I mean "either incredibly well-done, or so ungodly poorly-scripted and cheesy that it'll become an instant B-Movie hit." In either case, not likely you'd see many people spring-up and cry bloody murder at the sight of new Beasts...

Quoted for truth. I'm hanging to see it again.

So you have seen it then, Burn?

A number of Australian Seibertron members were lucky enough to see it (except Trunksy, we decided he was a little too neurotic to be allowed near Michael Bay) along with other Australians from the various other TF boards.
We're just not really allowed to talk about it in detail until the 23rd. (Which is about 52 hours from now ...)
