Can't stand Orci's diabolical Castro avatar on Murphy's site. If Orci lived in Cuba he would of never been as wealthy as he is now. Guaranteed! Also cause Don Murphy is insanely evil ,and a very bad producer. Cause Bay is an ego driven maniac for doing it his own way ,and ignoring the fans. Talking smack about us on almost every interview. Spielberg for letting Bay commit chaos by destroying the tf film franchise at his first try. And for Hasbro not caring as usual. Cause Hasbro is going to make a profit on the huge transformers fan base. But they all won't make a penny from me on either the film or any of their other merchandise from the film.
Get over yourself. It's fans like you that make Bay say the things he says.
Orci's a Castro follower? WTF?! Plenty of people have had Castro pictures and icons, it doesn't always mean what you think. Plenty of people have reasons why they do what they do without being sinister. They also owe you no explanation at all, either.
Sad thing, until you mentioned him in your post, I had forgotten all about Don Murphy. The film and everyone else around him outclasses him by leaps and bounds so much so, that I had forgotten about his pointless and stupid little tirades long ago.
If Hasbro didn't care, we wouldn't have TFs period. Late '80s, G1 died out. A few years later, they tried to bring the line back to life with G2. It failed, but at least they tried. (They didn't have to.) Then they gave us Beast Wars (and telling you how much that didn't fail is pointless. Unless you're that oblivious, and you're starting to prove that to me....)
I admit that money's definitely a driving force behind all of this, I mean who doesn't see that? I'd be crazy and/or ignorant not to admit it, however...there's more than money behind it.
Hasbro does indeed appreciate the fans or we wouldn't have gotten the fanwanks we've received in these past few years. Hell, they've even had Aaron Archer at some of the BotCons (at least one to my knowledge) when they could just say "Hah! A convention? What losers. No, we won't attend. We have to spend time making more money. These lemmings will buy anything!" but they don't. They actually listen to our input, they actually give a damn about our opinion. Just because they can't answer all of our concerns or give into all of our demands, doesn't mean they're in it solely for the money.
As I said before, get over yourself. The world (especially the business world) doesn't revolve around you, and if you must continue bitching, please...get the hell out of the way so the rest of us can enjoy what you're willing to pass up.
More for us, ftw!

QFT x 2.
Well played, sir. Well played.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

Also, it would be nice if they lost the rights to make Marvel figures. I don't know about you, but since Hasbro started making Marvel Legends, the Marvel Legends seemed to get worse.

I haven't had a sig quote for a while, but that was the best thing anyone has ever said. Especially if you actually meant it!

Yeah, and it wasn't necessary. Granted this shouldn't have been turned into anything remotely religious (there's a time and place for that), but you shouldn't have mocked him either. You have a problem with it, you take it to PM. You don't tear apart a person for their beliefs in public. You shouldn't tear anyone apart, period, but at least have the decency to do it without anyone else being able to point and laugh, or be pulled into it.

It had nothing to do with religion, I take issue with him saying that anyone who praises Castro can't be a decent person. An insidiously stupid comment like that, born from a narrow-minded, ignorant, judgemental attitude deserves to be mocked, and others should point and laugh at him.

Asderiphel wrote:Sheogorath is right on this one. No one but Spacer is talking about communism, Castro or God, and just because he drops a Jesus-bomb doesn't mean he gets off for being a prick. We were talking about an American capitalist movie making money, not the End of Days.
Robinson wrote:Whether he was standing up for his beliefs and stating his opinion in a political and religious post it doesnt belong in this thread. This topic is about how much hasbro wants this movie to succeed, and most accounts it looks like it will. Attacking Orci's "beliefs" because he has a certain pic in his avatar is the most absurd thing I have seen in a while. Also while being on a public forum you leave yourself open to ridicule and mockery. It's the price you pay for being on a forum such as this. He simply wants the movie to fail because its not "his" vision of what a transformers movies should be and that is an opinion shared by what is now a relatively small group of transfas when compared to the general public that is hyped to see this movie.
If this movie does fail, no one is going to be rushing right out to make a reboot to the franchise within the next 5-10 years. And Bay will simply say "I told you it was a damn toy movie and lame concept but I gave it my best shot and look what happened" Transformers will suffer, they may not go away but it wil indeed suffer and will probably take another "beast wars" type of reimagining in order to spark a new level of interest.

I don't like many of the people that are handling the film. They need a reality check like this film not doing well critic wise. I'd like to see what you'll say later. Chuckles!
