Does anybody know?

What are those red things in the lower middle of the package? I don't recall Blaster nor Perceptor having those things.

Aye I dunno what that is? looks like some kind of unit when transformed

It's a new accessory: a holder for the microscope slides for Perceptor to use.

To him, they're too tall to interact with the smaller toys of the characters that the two were the same height as in the cartoon.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:1984forever wrote:They need to shrink these guys down to 6 inches max and give Perceptor a new head.
Why? They're life-size (supposedly) as they are, plus they're the G1 original molds.

Rated X wrote:So instead of getting rewind, perceptor gets a box of crap ? I dont see anyone buying this. Why is hasbro re-re-re-issuing stuff that was just re-issued maybe 2-3 years ago ? Seems like just yesterday I bought perceptor and the insecticons 3 pack at TRU for about 50 bucks a pop. Im not sure why anyone would want to pay double the price for a bigger box...
And big ups to Va'al for the debut of "Steeljawk"....you rock !
-Kanrabat- wrote:william-james88 wrote: I did some research on the previous Blaster release. While the insecticons were sold at large, Blaster wasn't. He was a con exclusive at first and found his way to HTS but was still quite limited. That release never got the same exposure as the insecticons or perceptor. And plus that was 7 years ago, so quite a while and thus I really dont get the complaining. Like last year's Predaking, its an easy toy to rerelease and finally make available to everyone who didnt get him, and at retail
-Kanrabat- wrote:Nice! But that set will be 200$ for sure. I'm not really interested in Perseptor and I always wanted Blaster. Maybe when this set will come out, this will drive the price of the latest reissue and the vintage down a bit.

Looking forward to seeing what the slides are. Maybe it'll be a tease for an upcoming product or something cool or the coordinates for a reissue of Rewind. His absence is baffling to me.

What is odd is that he is also missing from the previous rerelease. Was there ever an explanation for that?

The previous release was just lazy and taking a short cut and was also a while before Rewind gained popularity amongst fans thanks to the current run of IDW Transformers comics and James Roberts writing talents.
This release, it's silly and unfortunate that he's not included, or better yet that they should have done him as Rewind and not as Eject. Oh well. What do we know?

Taking a leap/assumption that the mold is around: they're just waiting to do a Rechrome set.

That's a tantalizing possibility...
They mean a two-pack with just Rewind and Chromedome. As in, maybe Hasbro left Rwind out of this set so that they could release him in a two-pack with G1 Chromedome.william-james88 wrote:megatronus wrote:ScottyP wrote:Seibertron wrote:The previous release was just lazy and taking a short cut and was also a while before Rewind gained popularity amongst fans thanks to the current run of IDW Transformers comics and James Roberts writing talents.

Could you guys help me out here, I dont get why rewind would be put on the sideline while waiting for a rechrome set.

Or a set with Rewind, Chromedome, Overlord, the "Under Cold Blue Stars" comic, and a box of tissues.
