Maybe they got two. Only need one.
True, though I did too and am keeping the heads.

Does anyone recall the good ol' days concept of making relatively even numbers of Good Guys & Bad Guys?
Because right now, Megatron & Starscream are more than a little @#$%Ed.
EVIL AUTOBOTS
Optimus Prime
Bumblebee
Wheeljack

Goldbug
Ultra Magnus
Skyfire

You listed both Bumblebee and Goldbug. You're missing Flamewar and technically that's not Wheeljack it's Slicer, plus you can choose to count his exo suit or not (I'm counting him). Plus if you're counting Rewind you also have to count Fireglide. And then we're expecting Soundwave as the final figure for wave 2 (may or may not come with Ravage and Laserbeak).
That makes things a little more even with:

Optimus Prime
Ratchet
Goldbug
Jetfire
Blurr
Blaster
Rewind
Ultra Magnus

Megatron
Starscream
Slicer
Exo-Suit (for me he's SG Fasttrack or "Red Roritchi")
Flamewar
Fireglide
Soundwave(?)
Ravage(?)
Laserbeak(?)
Things are a little more even than you think.

WJ/Slicer is still a weird one to pin down, so far.Emerje wrote:technically that's not Wheeljack it's Slicer
She kinda was, originally. Her original 2005 toy and character were conceptualized by Ben Yee.Emerje wrote:Anyone else catch during the Magic the Gathering presentation that they called Flamewar a fan creation?

Caelus wrote:My wife pointed out something interesting about the prehistoric Predacons. I said that everyone was complaining because transforming for them mostly consisted of them just standing up-right. She essentially said, 'So? That's what our ancestors did.'
They also showed non-SG Slicer as having Armada Wheeljack's colors.Emerje wrote:Anyone else catch during the Magic the Gathering presentation that they called Flamewar a fan creation?

50-55 would be more reasonable

Yeah, I'm not sure what they're thinking with that price. $35 + 12 = $47, there's no way they can justify the comic being worth $16 this time. Then add on shipping and tax, I'm definitely only buying one.
This made me laugh.

I'm inclined to think the latter, that whoever wrote the product copy was thrown by the decision to use "Slicer" so as to package the toy under a more unique name.Nemesis Primal wrote:WJ/Slicer is still a weird one to pin down, so far.Emerje wrote:technically that's not Wheeljack it's Slicer
-He first shows up as a subordinate of Goldbug, so as an Autobot despite the fact that he's using the name Slicer
-End of comic run 1 reveals he's actually loyal to Magnus over Goldbug, so still an Autobot
-The Magnus issue D-Max brought up maintains this with Slicer showing up in Magnus's Wreckers (but they also bring up at one point that Sunstreaker and Cordon are the same guy in this universe who just changed his name, which could potentially imply the same about Slicer?)
-The product description and brief comic teaser materials present on Slicer's Pulse listing simultaneously call him out as "Decepticon Slicer", an "Autobot infiltrator", and a "Decepticon spy infiltrating the Autobots", while also teasing that he has yet to truly determine what side he's on, which I think is supposed to be saying that he's actually a Decepticon and everything in the comics up until now was him being undercover? The phrase "Autobot infiltrator" reads to me like it's saying he is an Autobot who infiltrates though, not someone who infiltrated the Autobots, so I can't tell if the product description is a spoiler or if marketing was just confused by the fact that the name Slicer was used instead of WJ
