Not sure myself. There have been plenty of people who collect the smaller scale combiners saying they are happy with the FP upgraded Energon set and plenty who want something a tad bit bigger so that Not-Superion is a more similar height to the others.warzon3 wrote:Does anyone think there will eventually be a market for Aerial Bots that scale with Maketoys Giant and Fansproject Menasor?
There seems to be 2 different sizes that are going on with combiners....

Maybe once the rest of the combiners have been done in the smaller scale more will want an updated Superion and it wont be as much of a risk

The FP & MK combiners are not small scale, they are regular scale.
Six deluxe sized MK Constructicons are bigger than the original 1985 Hasbro Constructicons toys that were legion or commander sized.

You can't compare 1980's toys to the modern dayWhat FP and MT are doing isn't "regular" scale. We have two different scale sizes being done and the FP/MT version is the smaller of the two. The TFC/MMC scale is perfectly sized for a modern classics collection because the individual bot modes are a similar size to the other figures and the combined modes tower over the others like in the cartoon.
You may prefer the smaller scale, but that doesn't make it the regular one

That's it exactly, go with what suits you best, and no preference is wrongMidnight_Fox wrote:Arctorro wrote: What FP and MT are doing isn't "regular" scale. Yep. FP/MT are the smaller of the two, but I disagree with your assertion that the TFC scale is perfectly sized. I find that their limb bots are too big as individual bots, but hey, that's personal preference for ya.
Plus, I'm not a fan of the TFC aesthetics. I don't think it looks as good with the Hasbro stuff, but see nothing "wrong" with collections that contain them. Collections should be personalized, and the day we all agree on definitive versions of every character for every collection is the day this hobby dies(we'll never need new figures again).
I'll also agree with your last sentence, but mostly cause there's no such thing as "regular scale". Hell, Hasbro can't even keep with a regular scale in a single line, much less across multiple lines like make up the average Classics style

You still haven't explained (or I just haven't seen you explain) why you think the original 80s toy size is how modern updates of those characters should be sized. Most people tend to go by the fiction - be they comics or cartoons - but using original toy scale just seems odd.

If were going by cartoons. Classics,Generations has set the scale for the 1980's cartoon seekers & bigger cars bots, which is deluxe size. In the 1980's TF cartoon series, the limbs combiners were the size of the seekers & the bigger cars bots,so they get new age deluxe toys to match the seekers & bigger cars bots scale. the combiner team members were bigger so they get new age voyager size toys. FP,MT & MMC are all doing a great job following this scale.
TFC & WB are not following any 1980's TF toy or cartoon scale for there combiners. as the toys don't scale right next to classics or generations toys. At best TFC & WB might be trying to scale there combiners with the MP TF seekers & MP voyager cars bots.
If were going by 1980's TF toy scale for new age combiners. Then Hasbro got this scale right with the Energon ROTF combiners. as the 1980's limbs combiners toys were commander size. while the 1980's team leaders toys were deluxe size.

Rated X wrote:Since Beast Wars figures are coming, how about a show accurate gun for Universe Cheetor. And a show accurate gun for the upcoming Generations Ratrap to replace that clear one that comes with it. And a show accurate sword for Dinobot. Maybe someone can KO Dinobot's purple parts in show accurate blue to swap out and look more like the Henkei version.

The bigger they make these 3rd party combiners the more they cost.
Tsutsukakushi wrote:It's no fun Having 3rd party combiners team members. That can't mix & blend in with other classics & Generations toys.
Tsutsukakushi wrote:I don't mind & I love 3rd party toys like Hexatron,Quakewave & Nova Lord. Because these guys deserve to be in MP scale. It's also a lot easier on the wallet buying one big 3rd party MP TF toy instead of buying Five big 3rd party MP TF combiners for almost $600.
At best TFC & WB are doing MP TF scale 3rd party combiners. I don't consider them classics generations scaled 3rd party combiners.
