Have-you ever seen snow?

Postby Nico » Mon May 28, 2007 2:17 pm

Have-you ever seen snow? Imean, in real-life. Everyone has seen it in movie or on Tv. But have you ever "touched" snow. If your from anywhere there is noramlly snow, Canada or Europe. Just don't answer, but you know it CAN suck!

Its cool when your a kid, but older, it start to suck! But, making snowman is cool when your 6-year old! :D

I lived in Rochester New York, about an hours drive from Niagra Falls, so i know what REAL snow is like! Snow that comes up to your waist, or more. Snow that gets your car stuck or buries it overnight.

Yeah it was freaking annoying and dangerous, i saw many accidents happen right in front of me because of black ice and snow but thankfully i was never a part of them.

I hate the cold, but that said i miss it as it was truly beautiful so it has its ups and downs.

Missed it by about three days when I was in Canada.

That makes me curious (seeing as how snow is so common here in the Netherlands and you kinda take it for granted)...

How rare is snow in Australia?

I'm in Michigan. It snows about half the year here.

Most people here don't like it, but I always loved winter.

The mountains down New South Wales / Victoria way get enough to warrant a tourist ski season. Plus it's enough to spike interest in some people who actually go on to represent Australia at the winter olympics (though they tend to have to train overseas a lot of the time)

I absolutely hate the stuff. And I find it hilarious when a panic erupts in Florida or California when a quarter inch of it falls. People freak out. I'd love to see them deal with 3 feet of it.

People in Ca worry about snow falling (ESP south CA) because it's not natural for it to snow there. The local eco systems go wacky when that stuff happens.

I'm going to take a guess and say you've never driven a car in it. Or driven in general. You'll quickly change your tune when you nearly or do go sliding off an enbankment.

Nightwatcher- *nod* *pat on the back*

Four feet of it, let's try that. Alberta anyone? -45 Celsius ( I dunno what that is in Fahrenheit). So damn cold you're lucky if you get your car started. And if you do, it's such hell to get through.

This year was berserk. We didn't have a mounds of snow, but it didn't stop snowing until April... and it started in September.

Mind you, I actually like snow if I'm not driving. Especially snowy mountains. The Rockies were gorgeous this year, making snowboarding all the more exciting :D Has anyone every seen frosty trees before? Trees and bushes become white, like in FF Advent Children (in the scene where he goes to the ancient city). Those are beautiful.
