Shockwave?!?! Anything Tangable you can show off??

Thanx for the praise I'm decent with paint when I have something to mimic, You COULD still fit a firing mechanism in my version the smallest cannon section is completely empty, the trigger COULD be triggered from the same collasping trigger.

Press hard- Fire Missle/cannonball
Press hardER- extend Cannon

Just my thoughts..

HoS Shockwave is a warship right? That would be kickass.

Yeah! I was originally planning on making Shockwave. But since this is my first SB I figured I'd start with an easier character. Figured I'd get some practice in first.

Here's another update.

Got the feet and hip gaurds done and also detailed the thighs.

Image

Image

I made the toes articulated as well. You can kind of see it in the right foot.

Image

And here's how the feet transform. The toes slide back into the feet and they'll rest on the back of the thighs (Like in tha alt mode pic from before)

Image

Thanks again for the compliments everyone!

 wow! Looking so nice Lobo. What amazes me almost as much as the custom itself is how clean your work area is. Those plastic containers are a good idea actually to keep scraps.

 You should have seen it before I cleaned up! Actually my only "useable" work area is a 6" x 6" area right in front of me circled by tools, scraps, shavings, etc. It's a mess!

Always clean up before you take pictures. :D

You sir are truly gifted, the amazing part is the fact that basicaly your doing this based off of ONE singular drawing. I mean the comic WITH megs in probably at least a month away. And at this rate, by that time You'll be Done.

Holy crap, Lobo. This looks amazing. And this is your first Scrathbuilt? You certainly humble the rest of us. (Think I'll throw away my airbrush and paint, because I'm simply not worthy :D )

Hope you finish this one quickly so we can see the result and so you can dazzle us with the planned Shockwave.

btw. If he's about the same size as G2 Megs, wouldn't it be an idea to use his head and sand it down to shape?

EDIT: this is going to be another one of your topics that I'll copy so that I have a nice "how-to"

Update:

Got the arms about finished. Lots of tedious work. I still have to add some detail and some pins to lock everything in place.

Image

The arm transformation.

Image

First, the sides of the forearm open up.

Image

The wrist then flips around exposing the small gun.

Image

Then the sides close back in place. I thought this is kinda cool also because it gives him a gun hand. :)

Image

Then the elbow slides out of the upper arm reveling another hinge and the forearm folds back on the upper arm.

Image

And here's a pic of the alt mode so far.

Image

Thanks for the compliments everyone!

Looks like my desk. Only, with more open space not covered by tools/materials/scraps/project.

Update:

Got a good start on the big wheels. Spent a majority of the weekend making the spikes. 120 of them in all! They started out a little longer than these but I trimmed them down a little. Still working on how to mount them in Alt mode.

Hey lobo a lttle of topic...What do you think of that cordless dremel? I bought a 300 series one with the cord and the speed adjuster switch, and ended up thnking about buying a cordless, but was afraid of the loss of power during a bash. Also Does it have the speed adjust? That really comes in handy when sanding and cutting for me.

And you scratchbuild is just wow! A definate showpiece.
