Those hell missions do offer an amazing pay out for the risk at low levels.

if you want to max your xp gains in those 1-11 missions configure some repairers (with either no secondary tactic or avoid as the secondary tactic), then upgrade int and courage by a few points each. A repair on a high level con is worth roughly double what a ram on a high level bot is worth.

All right, I put Feedback in a mission (he's all repair) let's see how he does :)

Yeah, that was a little... well poor AZ was outnumbered. There was no chance for Feedback to repair on that one

It doesn't always work, but here is an example where a level 4 (with 1.5 million xp) rakes in 170k in 1 mission. http://www.seibertron.com/heavymetalwar ... _id=257302
And if divebomb had been level 11 instead of 10, that would've been an astounding 340k xp.

When I first started out last summer I pretty much went all repair/avoid until I got my guys to around 10 million, I wouldn't recommend doing repair/strafe or repair/ram until at least that point. With avoid as the secondary stat it helps you survive longer in the fight while not reducing your probability of repairing since it is a defensive (reactionary) stat. With this strategy I went from 100k to 1 million xp on my #1 con in a week, and then 1 million to 5 million the next week.

Oh thanks for the advice, I've been thinking about converting one or two of them to repair. Now that I'm getting them out of the first 2 levels it might be feasible, before it was impossible since most fights were 1 on 1 :) now that I can venture into those level 1-11 fights though... watch out! :P

yeah you don't want too many without any attack mechanism. As you already know, repair is completely useless if you have nobody to repair.

I'll be starting a small push to upgrade some more of my characters to level 11, so if I'm in your mission and you can hit me: bingo! Of course, I will hit back

I'm actually changing configurations to have more repairers. After the many, many, many years of always having the highest ranking Autobots in my team without many other 'Bots to be able to repair efficiently and (more importantly) lucratively, the REPAIR / STRAFE combo has finally and definitely become the best set-up, not just for high-level characters, but also for lower levels. I'm just pissed off that the Autobots have so few alt-modes which are able to both REPAIR and STRAFE.

You're very welcome!
Yeah, I know which alt-modes theoretically have REPAIR / STRAFE, but of the ones you mention, the 'Bots currently only have one single (core) Aerial Rescue Vehicle and two (core) Opportunistic Air Animal alt modes available. None of the many other common or rare REPAIR / STRAFE alt modes are available.

Don't worry, I'm still keeping several level 10's in the mix, including Broadside. If they ain't healing, I can keep them as dumb as posts. And the RAM / STRAFE combo is still golden for just out-right winning a match.
