I see a lot of talking about the sub-factions, blah blah. I had a team I was active with at another job, didn't do much, and happened to be somewhere I can send guys into missions all day long at work when the crash happened, so I've been going since. I've looked over the advice threads, found some useful stuff, and improved some things on my team. I do have certain alts that aren't spectacular tactic-wise, but it's a themed team so they're staying. I've swapped the ones I can up for some great results.
Anywho, what is most needed to help the 'bots start ranking and romping? Should I be putting all my guys in missions all the time? Arena? Do we need a system to give lowbies x-ray lasers off the bat? I've been splitting up based on tactics and stuff rather I do missions or arena with certain 'bots. If focusing on one or the other would help I'll gladly do so. I haven't really studied the mechanics of the game as much as a lot of you hard core folks have, I wanna help, I just need to know what we need.
Again,I think the free x-rays to lowbies would be a good start, I can easily afford to give up cash for a few already.

The only system of getting the new guys weapons is donating energon to them so they can afford them. We just can had over a null ray or x-ray rifle to them. We can, however is develop a makeshift armory. That way people sell back their weapons they don't need so the new guys can buy them. This would have to be coordinated to prevent as much as possible the other factions from obtaining them. So it would be a sell then buy right away kind of deal.
As for tactics, speed and avoid seem to be the big things right now that get you the big stuff.

I know, going with avoid type bots limits your alt mode options, but ram and strafe just don't do much with a few stats and no feeder stats. The 50 xp per avoid is big points at the low levels, so exploit it as much as you can, cause that's how the cons are doing what they're doing.
Speaking of what the cons are doing, check the mission results, and see who won and look at their setup. If you copy the common setups that are at the top of missions, you will end up in the same place.
Enter missions when it's 1 vs 6. 2 minutes later it will be full of other bots looking to get into the missions, if not sooner. All bots have the same list of missions to join, regardless of level, and the number of missions that don't fill up are minimal, you have to join in the last 30 seconds to see that mission not fill up. The cons may have more level 1s in missions, but we're already getting more 1s and there's more xps for the level 0s to get when facing 1s and they only have a few more stats, it's not like we're facing level 3 stanformers already.
Hi, I'm Hoistimus and I'm an Autobot. And I approve this message.

TF Collection: It has come time to start looking to sell instead of buy, I'll be posting details in the b/s/t forum.

I've been doing the speed/avoid thing as much as I can. I didn't realize that avoids gave you xp. Now I know wny my motorcycles caught up so quick. I remember back on my old team ram dominated, and wondered why my few ram guys were suckin' it up right now. I guess it's the feeder stat thing, and ram just isn't boosted enough yet.
Someone who's in the know wanna give us a feeder to tatic how-to or share a link to one. I played the game a few years before never knowing anything about that stuff.

equip with null ray rifle.
main advice: work the missions exclusively--avoid the arena
if you have any rammers, i've found they're not working quite well in the missions. i've got some equipped with speed/ram & starting to use courage to see if they'll get into gear. my avoiders are doing the best, followed by strafers.

It gives your rammers survivability and the strength stat does feed ram even if it's just a little bit to give you that extra oomph. One of my top guys is a rammer with that very logic applied and it's working out great so far.

i'm sure that setup will work well for the arena, but how are they in the missions?

They're averaging about 50% in missions, just like the rest of my team.

I'm wondering (minus any str boosts) is the difference between say 3ram and 1ram mostly damage or frequency? does a higher tactic ranking mean you're going to do it more or do it better? With something like AVOID there's no gray area, it happens or it doesn't. With ram does it affect damage as well?

INT: feeder for repair, also unlocks skills on some alts.
SPD: gives better chance to hit and be missed. Not a direct feeder for avoid, as avoid will kick in based on how high your avoid skill is at, better speed means better chance to be missed when avoid is not used.
END: absorbs ram and strafe damage
RNK: allows better armors
CRG: allows to attack first and more often
FRP: feeder for strafe, and allows for better weapons
SKL: allows for better weapons, unlocks tactics

Should I go 2 spd 2 avoid on my jet alts or 3 spd 1 avoid to prepare for level 1???
And, what should the 5th stat be to get me to L1???

For Jets, I'd either branch off into courage or strength. With strength you can then head off to rank, thus giving you ceramic armor. If you wish to continue with the speed/avoid combination, then courage is your best bet.

And after speed, avoid and courage.. um.. I guess starting on the feeder stats for your second tactic, so str for ram and fp for strafe.
