Henkei/Classics Side-by-side phot requests

I've just gotten a nice little cash bonus, and I plan on turning that into some Henkei replacements for some of my Classics figures. Jetfire, Hound, Astrotrain, and Prime are no-brainers, and I already have Henkei Cyclonus. I am assuming I can pass on the Twins, but the others I would like to see.

Could anyone take some side-by-sides of the following:

Sunstreakers
Sideswipe/Lambor
Mirage/Liger
Dinobots
Smokescreens
Ratchets
Ironhides
Infernos

I'm sure I'm not the only one who would enjoy these, and just bot mode would suffice!

Thanks!!

I wish I had some side by side comparison's for ya, but I would definitely go for Henkei Smokescreen. He's on my list as well. I wanna wait till Botcon and pick that guy up.

I've got some cash set aside for Botcon as well, but if I can pick up a loose henkei on ebay or here before then I'll pull the trigger. I won a H-Jetfire this morning, so I will list my Classics version soon to recoup the funds, pick up another henkei and repeat.

It's not photos but my two cents is as follows:

Sunstreaker: Better in Henkei. His yellow looks better and he has the chromed spoiler which looks more G1 accurate.

Sideswipe: Better in Universe. His spoiler isn't chromed in Universe and his license plate is more US friendly (SWIPE rather than LAMBOR) IIRC.

Mirage: Could go either way. The Universe one looks more G1 toy-accurate and Henkei looks more cartoon-accurate.

Dinobot: Better in Henkei. The blue colour is more show-accurate than Universe's purple, as is his chromed sword.

Ratchet/Ironhide: Could go either way. Henkei Ironhide has a more accurate face but lacks the Oregon license.

Smokescreen: Better in Henkei. His paintjob and weapons are more G1 accurate.

Inferno: Could go either way. There aren't too many differences as far as I know.

Thanks Diem.

I'm pretty much on par with what you said, other than Sunstreaker. I'm not a huge Streaker fan and probably won't shell out for the henkei version.

I always seem to latch onto one little detail that I just can't get past on the lacking version (like the door numbers on smokescreen, or the crest on ratchet), that's why I really want the pics, but everyone's opinions on the different versions will help my decision making!

Diem is dead on just about everything, but at one time i had my doubts about Henkei Inferno, but Trust me, theres a BIG difference i feel and if you want pics i'll be happy to post them, since i have both Inferno's, but the Henkei one is far better and the detail is the sh$t! The red henkei uses is alot better and theres more chrome stuff as well (which i like) and the face is G1 dead accurate and the firetruck light are red as well. Again if you wants pics just PM me.

Get Henkei Inferno, there are massive differences.

Henkei has appropriately chromed parts for a fire truck and the engine is actually fire-engine red instead of that really dark color used for Universe.

Side by side makes the Universe version look really bad.

For Ironhide, what about not having a blue face and the yellow stripe? License plate or not, I think the Henkei looks quite a bit better. But it's probably not that great of a figure regardless of which version you get. I'm not overly impressed with my Hasbro version.

Yeup. QFT man. I would normally update some classics with henkei's when I can, but this mold is just the pits and only one version warrents a purchase. No paint app or scheme can change my opinion on this subpar toy.

These are the ones I could find in the galleries by Ryan. I'm surprised so many are still missing though.

Suntreakers:

Mirage/Liger

Henkei Sunstreaker is a bit more orangey.

I like the darker Blue on Liger more than Mirage. Also the silver accents look very nice on Liger. Most are missing on Mirage

I have all the classics versions and I actually used Ryan's suggestion of a silver marker on Ironhide's face, makes a world of difference, but I like the darker red and the white in place of black on the henkei version.

I suspect I will pass on Henkei Streaker.

I was already pretty much assuming I would get Inferno, and Mirage is a maybe, they are pretty different, but I think I like the hasbro version better in robot mode. the gallery has SBS in vehicle mode, but I display in bot mode.

I have enclosed 3 different bot mode pics (sorry no time for alt mode in abit of a rush) but Hasbros is on the left and the Henkei on the right and right away you should be able to see the different shade of reds on each figure, the detail and most of all the chrome.
