It was said quite a bit after the reset.
I'd just like to see some 2-4 missions. To bad that none of the players who could easily be level 4 and push gen those missions don't have the bearings to go that high eh?

That particular little feature is broken, so don't rely on it for accuracy.
Burn wrote:Only answer I can give you there (and I realise how unhelpful and disappointing it is) is that OS is the only one with access to change missions and he's dedicated his time to developing HMW2.
Retired Geek wrote:Surely it can't take that long to access the admin controls and toggle on some other mission levels? Granted I have no idea what your admin interface looks like so I am only guessing.
Well in that case since missions won't change, how about switching me to the Decepticon side of the fence? Might as well go with the winning team since it's clear the Autobots don't stand a snowball's chance in a smelting pool.

And realistically, if we were to simply draw the line down the middle and go with traditional G1 -vs- traditional BW, would energon efficiency really trump giant war machines?
I don't think so, hence why all factions pretty much have the same thing, so that side of things remain balanced.
It all comes down to how people join the game, and unfortunately when it comes to the number of TF series, Autobots/Decepticons vastly outnumber Predacon/Maximal, so people will opt more for a 'Bot/'Con faction because that's the mythology they're use to.
Sucky I know.
Absolute Zero wrote:If the maximals and predacons were upgrades though, like they were in the cartoon and in pretty much everything else, then yeah, they would trump the giant war machines. Waspinator took way more damage then any Decepticon did.
In most games with multiple faction choices, each faction has a unique offering, but it's usually not something that will really unbalance the game.

ahhhhh but Waspinator seemed to be in a class of his own as other Predacons never seemed to be able to "pull themselves back together" like he did. It seemed to be an ability unique to him.

True, but a couple of things to remember with HMW. It's always been the intention that the game would be vastly different and unique to any other free web based games out there, plus it also has to maintain some semblance of connection to a 25 year old franchise, which, as we know, has had a lot of variety over those 25 years. That alone is a lot to attempt to accommodate.

That would be amazing
I'm glad you like that concept because it is already written into the mission generating of HMW2. Most of the beta testing people have seen missions with Bots + Cons vs Max + Pred, Cons vs Bots + Max + Pred, Pred vs Bots + Max, etc. The new mission structure lets us mix and match anything as long as there are two teams of whatever. I'm also about to work on a battle royale mode outside the missions where it is every faction for itself Bots vs Cons vs Max vs Pred until the last faction stands (hint hint....There may be some a Benedict Arnolds in this mode).Absolute Zero wrote:original sin wrote:Absolute Zero wrote:I wonder if it'd be possible to set it up so that the Maximals can generate missions against all three factions, Preds can only generate missions against the G1ers, and the G1ers can only generate missions against themselves...

I think it would solve most of the mission problems.
