Actually, I think balancing the stats should be top priority since putting in just about any other feature beforehand -- at least, concerning the ones voiced thus far -- will only add to the mess that has to be cleaned up eventually anyway.

I don't know, I think that is a good point. I know I would mind having a few less mechs on my team right now and let me focus on a prime players.

I only said that because it's rather annoying having to see that subject pop up from time to time. (Not trying to be a newbie-hater, folks, but I think there ought to be a warning of some sort on the character creation page about this.)

People just need to pull the lead out and realise that they can just stop using the character. It's not hard.

First of all, Silver Wind, I joined this site and have been playing HMW for a month longer then you have. So before you start calling people "newb" you should pay a little more attention.

I know this has come up before and I still think it's a good idea.

Jeep!: Maybe some of us don't want to have to look at them just sitting there. Maybe some people would like to delete them altogether and focus on the ones they want to. Is that such a hard concept to get? sheesh.

Excuse the heck out of me for expressing my opinion folks I'll make sure it doesn't happen again.

We could do stuff like this:

Leader: Get a bonus on all stats. You can only have one leader class character.

Triggerbot/Triggercon: Firepower bonus + special blast attack

Headmaster: Intel + courage bonus (and nebulon attack special)

Targetmaster: Firepower bonus (and nebulon attack special). The bot's regular weapon slot becomes permanently replaced with a targetmaster gun, this gun can be upgraded by adding more stats to firepower and skill.

Combiner: optional bonus (from any stat) + power to combine.

Gestalt: Not really a class, but this is the combined form of the combiners. It is essentially a bot with the combined XP of its component members. Although the repair cost goest up with every member that gets damaged.

Powermaster: Strength bonus (and nebulon attack special)

Pretender: Endurance bonus + Pretendershell attack (spans a additional warrior in the game). The damage done to the additional warrior is also carried over to the owner TF.

Triplechanger: Unlocks the option to get a second altmode. Though all the tactics will be costly.

Quadchanger: Unlocks the option to get 3 altmodes. Though all the tactics will be costly.

Sixchanger: Get 6 altmodes. The most expensive class in the game. Though it could potentially bolster all available tactics.

this would be brilliant!

no more discussing in my census thread!

aerrow, length of carreer, has nothing to do with newbiness, I played for over a year without really understanding the game at all(and thus spent most of my time at level 0) and not interacting with the HMW community at all, thoughout that entire time i was a newb, and some time afterwards until i became a regular of this forum, a well know character here, where everbody knows my name....

secondly there is a difference between a Newb, and a Noob,

thirdly she didn't call you a Noob or even a newb, she just is raising a point that many new people don't realise you can't delete bots and so a warning should be given that once you create a bot it is for life, and thus stop people creating threads for asking for it.

personally i'd like to be able to take spare slots off you, cos i want more characters.

I know this topic has come up before. Same as other topics such as Targetmasters, Headmasters and Triple Changers to name a few. From my understanding those are supposed to be done in v2. Let's not forget auto CR chamber for missions. So why not this? Why not be able to sell a slot back for some extra energon? I don't get the big deal or why it would be so hard to program considering some of the other stuff that is in this game.

But to say she isn't trying to be a "newb-hater" doesn't portray a since of warm sentiment. How hard would it be to simply state "it has been talked about before"? A fact I was well aware of in the first place. A fact those people who talked to death Headmasters, Tagetmasters, auto CR for missions and all the other upgrades that have already been implemented or will be for v2.

Just because a person has a low post count doesn't mean that said person doesn't know what's going on in the game.

Let me say it this way: It wouldn't be hard to program, it would have bigger leaks than Titanic!
For example: Your sister/mother/best friend/dog gets to your comp somehow, and finds your HMW page, and clicks on places they shouldn't and deletes your whole team you built for a long time. And, according to Murphy, it would happen once in a while.

if you want to discuss this please make a seperate thread and discuss it, i'm following this thread very closely so as to get an accurate picture of what people feel needs to be done with the game and editing my first post to track those results.

Sorry Tammuz. Didn't mean to have this go on like it did.
---------------------------
Back on topic then.

The ability to delete unwanted character slot for half the energon cost of buying said slot. You could have a few fail safe "are you sure you wish to proceed" type thing to eliminate any possibility of accidentally deleting a character. Something like a verification like what was used at one point to prevent macro users.

Also like to bring up the ability to rename you weapon to something that would better fit you character. Meaning that "Battle Blades" would still be battle blades and function as such but could be called whatever the user wants. Adds a little more uniqueness to your character much as re-coloring your alt mode does.

I suggested this same thing a while back (before minicons came about) and in light of how the minicons worked, it should be perfectly feasible.

I think the best would be a fully functioning game a well, be it repairing this one or bringing in the V.2.

How about being able to carry 2 weapons.
Of course it would be limited. for example say you can only access this with a skill level of 1. so you have a skill level of 1 and a firepower level of 3, you could only use 2 level one weapons or a lv1 and a lv2 weapon.or a skill1 weapon and a firepower3 weapon.
And it can only be for be for unmixed weapons nothing that uses firepower and skill together.
Its just an idea.
